Two different iPad 2 wifi models?

I took apart a white iPad 2 wifi for digitizer replacement today and after removing the LCD, somehow the insides felt different than usual... the daughterboard wasn't where it was supposed to be - it was located at the top and the daughterboard connector cable was missing!
I've never seen an iPad 2 wifi with the daughterboard at the top - is this a new model?
Also, the daughterboard connector cable has been replaced by another cable put where the 3G module "would" be.
Is it new or has it been around for ages?

+I think it's iPad 2, 4，Re-released Wi-Fi only model. it has a 32nm A5 chip and some redesigned parts

+The parts are also widely available now (I assume iFixit has them and I sell them in my own store as well)
