I recently completed two repairs on my MacBook pro:
# Replaced the logic board using this [guide|56210|guide]
# Replaced the factory SSD with a Crucial P3 Plus SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen4 Internal SSD and a M.2 NVMe SSD convert adapter card
The MacBook operates fine but there is now 2 or sometimes 1 dead pixels in the center of the screen. I presume I've damaged something or done something wrong in the process of replacing the logic board but I just wanted some help on where to look. I removed the display data cable and reseated it but it still has the same issue.
On another note the upgrade to Monterey which is the final compatible version always fails. It just says "Upgrade failed" and boots into safe mode. When I restart it it goes back to Big Sur.
Any help would be appreciated!
