Hi @jimroep
Turn off the laptop if it is on and then open it and disconnect the battery from the motherboard. You don't have to remove it, just disconnect it. This will allow you to safely inspect the board for any damage and also to clean away any remaining ants etc. Use a brush to ''gently'' clean inside the laptop.
Here's the ifixit [[Topic:Acer Aspire 5 A515-56-347N]] repair guide that will help to disassemble the laptop.
-''If there's no apparent damage'' e.g. burnt out or corroded components etc, and once you're satisfied that it is clear of all ants (and any debris left by them), reassemble the laptop and check whaty happens when you turn it on.
+''If there's no apparent damage'' e.g. burnt out or corroded components etc, and once you're satisfied that it is clear of all ants (and any debris left by them), reassemble the laptop and check what happens when you turn it on.
''If you do see any damage,'' post an image of the board showing the problem back here in your question. Also provide the motherboard's model number (printed on the board itself e.g. LA-K091P perhaps), to make it easier to find the correct schematics for the board in case components do need to be replaced. Here's how to add images to your question in ifixit [guide|21499]
