Also the manufacturer doesn't list too many Galaxy A models having an [https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS10001610/|IP rating] either. Having an IP rating would better than just stating that it is "water resistant" or "splashproof" with no further information.

Best option is to not use it near water and try to avoid getting it wet if it is raining.
