No "BEEP" when powering on console.

I recently replaced an IR blaster board with one purchased from iFixit because the power button broke on my old one.

The button on the new one works great, but now my console doesn't beep when I power on the console.

I've googled it, and most answers were "unplug it and plug it back in." This has not resolved the issue.

Does anyone have any ideas?
