If the standby LED doesn't start to blink when the problem occurs, (see p.10 of the service manual if it does), try running the ''self diagnostic screen display test'' as shown on p.12 of the [https://riverparkinc.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/KDL_W800C_SERVICE_MANUAL.pdf|service manual] and check what it shows.
