The KDS-100LC thermal switch is similar to what's in the bottom of a coffee maker and is located up on left side of unit needs to be replaced. It's readily available for a few bucks on Amazon and eBay. I replaced my 100° switch with a new one rated at 145°. Works fine and doesn't quit with taters anymore.
