Replaced battery, won't power on!

I recently replaced the battery on my iPhone 5c and when I reassembled it, I saw blocks on the upper and lower part of the screen so l opened up the phone again and made sure the connections were made. After reassembled the phone, the phone won't power on. Any tips or suggestions?
