Okay so I figured it would be good to add my experience with this as well. Our Insignia Fire TV got progressively worse where the TV would turn itself on and immediately go to Netflix for some reason. We couldn’t figure it out and no one online had answered the question as to fix it. Some people had similar issues but not exactly with Netflix being forced open NO MATTER WHAT! Gosh it was frustrating. Well of course it ended up being 100% the remotes fault that had some glitch or burned chip inside and you can test this by removing the batteries and seeing if the issue persists so we ordered another remote cheap from amazon and it works like a charm now. 10/10 we figured it out without breaking our TV and our house is not haunted!
