I have a Mac. Followed the advice. Start with iPhone switched off. USB in computer. Large connector ready. Plug in large connector, quickly press Power and Home button. almost immediately iPhone window appears on Mac (computer) Software was updated. iPhone updated and restarting. Locate iPhone in Sidebar. (device does not show, in Finder, Prefs, Sidebar, select CD,DVD’s and iOS Devices). Trust iPhone but will not start as “Trust” did not show on iPhone, it’s locked. Turn off and hold power and home buttons. This time on computer select restore. Works, “HELLO”
