while i cant speak for this phone. some do need to have the speaker mounted with screws as thier contacts for the speaker need to be held in place. so odds are unless the speaker has a ribbon cable that you can see it will also need to be help in place with the missing screws.

hope this helps. you should honestly contact the repair guy that fixed your phone to get it replaced properly.
