Please keep in mind that, generally speaking, a water-damaged device can no longer be considered reliable, it could die on you at any moment because there’s a good chance there’s still humidity building up corrosion at the board components level over time. You’re advised to perform frequent backups so that not everything is lost when the inevitable happens.
If you want to give your device a better chance of survival, put your motherboard (and other major components if possible) through an ultrasonic cleaning. That’ll get rid of any humidity that’s still lurking around.
