Guys. I am in a deep shock.

The story: I play on my Xbox on the English settings despite living in Poland. But this is problem for my kids. So when my son wanted to play I switched settings back to Polish and restarted. And my Samsung Smart TV suddenly said “No signal. Check HDMI cable”. I tried with reconnecting HDMI plugs, restarting console with power button, unplugging it from AC outlet for 10 minutes, changing HDMI sockets in TV, changing HDMI cable, checking how it works through AV Receiver and everything failed.

I tried the “official” guide at the top, the trick with setting low resolution. It haven’t worked too. In the meantime I powered off TV few times (always using remote) and it also didn’t help. So I was pretty sure that my console’s TV out has died and it is time to “upgrade”. Last few days we got here real hot and moist climate thanks to sun mixed with storms. I got back to PC, read more in this thread and in Google, seeing more and more unrealistic solutions, including “hard reset of TV” by pulling the AC cord while TV is turned on. Angry as !&&* I switched off the power strip where TV and AVR are connected, without powering off the TV first. And I said “f*** this, I’ll give it a try, it is free, unlike new freaking console”. And it worked! That powering off the power strip gave exactly the same electrical result as pulling out AC cord from TV. And it restored the HDMI connection between my console and the TV and I could see the low resolution setting on my console! I switched to video settings, turned on 1080p and it worked immediately, with no issues. So what the !&&* has happened? I am clueless…

I am graduated electronics engineer. I can’t believe such nonsense solution could work.
