Hello Jesse, Apple pairs the home button’s TouchID to the motherboard so that won’t work after replacement, and as the iPhone 7 uses a capacitive sensitive home button and uses the vibrator for Taptic feedback (and isn’t an actual button), that also won’t work after replacement. However, there have now been multiple generations of home buttons available that bypasses this. The current ones don’t require Bluetooth or jumping pads, and will work like a normal home button straight away. However, TouchID will continue to be disabled due to pairing. [br] These home buttons can be found on eBay, JC and quite a few other suppliers. Make sure to get generation 3/4+ & doesn’t require Bluetooth or jumping pads. hope this helps - I have never tried one so if you try this route let me know how it goes!
