| I’m another victim of this problem. My device is MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2017 with Touch Bar. it seems that it’s heavily affecting 2016 & 2017 models, 2018 will follow soon. |
| I’m running my Mac always in A/C controlled environment, few lines start to appear at the lower part of display then increase in numbers until they form a thick grey bar. the only way to solve it is to close the lid or shutdown the laptop for an hour or so. |

| Sometimes this thick bar starts flickering and displaying random rainbow colors as show. |

| Update as of 08/07/2020: I escalated the issue to Apple customer support, they've managed to give me exceptional out of warranty service, the display was replaced for free. |
