Cannot open the back

I suspect that my laptop has a buildup of static and have tried to access the internal battery.  I unscrewed 6 screws from the back but the panel isn't coming off.  It seems to be stuck at the corners.  There aren't any hidden screws and I'm afraid to apply too much pressure and break it.  Advice?
