Is this LVDS cable look kinked?

This laptop was having ocassional LCD glitch issues for a while. Since it has persisted, I replaced the LVDS cable and applied new tape to make sure the problem is fixed; I have a few spare cables. If it doesn’t, I need to try a display to rule out the GPU (somewhat common on this model). I don’t think the cable will come loose:

HOWEVER, I inspected the old cable to see if it’s good to see if it can still be used. When doing that, I noticed multiple unusual kinks. I have attached pictures of the kinks that look unusual.

I don’t think this cable is kinked (or if it is, it doesn’t matter) but the ones I shown in the photos do raise some concerns. Does it look normal or does the cable I removed look like it had hidden damage that created the display problems?

-This laptop was having ocassional LCD glitch issues for a while. Since it has persisted, I replaced the LVDS cable and applied new tape to make sure I really fixed the problem if the cable is bad. I have a few spare cables since I built this notebook from parts and hopefully this resolves the problem. If it doesn’t, I need to try a display to rule out the GPU (somewhat common on this model). -This laptop was having ocassional LCD glitch issues. Since it persisted multiple times and has never went away, I am trying a new LVDS cable since I have some on hand as I built this notebook from parts. I am hoping this solves the problem. HOWEVER, I inspected the cable I removed to see if it’s good and I can use it as a spare but I noticed what appears to be multiple kinks. I have attached pictures to this question.

-I also noticed the original tape wasn’t as good as I remember it, so I also appled new tape to be sure I fixed the problem so I can properly figure out if the issue is because of a bad GPU (not unheard of on the nc6000) or the display has an issue. The condition of the original tape used at the factory didn’t look good enough to reuse.

Usually this works well, so I didn’t give a thought to new tape but I also applied new tape to be sure the replacement won’t come loose. -I don’t think this cable is kinked as I compared it to another one and I notice similar kinks in other areas, but the ones I shown here are concerning. Do these look normal or does it look like the LCD problems I had was related to the original cable?
