Have you tried reading or formatting the memory card that you have in a card reader connected to a computer?
Have you tried a different compatible memory card in the camera?
What type and size memory card are you trying to use?
These are the types of cards supported by the camera:
Memory Stick PRO Duo media, Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo media, Memory Stick Duo media,
(Memory Stick Duo media of up to 32 GB)
SD memory card, SDHC memory card and SDXC memory card.
(SD cards of up to 64 GB)
