I had the same problem no sound when playing music, youtube etc. No sound bar. Tried everything from cleaning to a new earphone contact installed. No sound.

But guess what: The problem was the FACEBOOK app.

After installing version 42.0 all sound is back.

Hmm, can I get a check from Facebook for unnecessary repair cost ???
