What tool to pull an 9.5mm SSD that has no carrier tray?

テキスト:

Model: Lenovo Thinkpad x230

I replaced the original 7 mm hard drive with a standard 9.5 mm SanDisk SSD. Since the X230's drive slot was built for a 7 mm, I just pushed the 9.5 mm drive into the slot without a carrier tray or the rubber side spacers. There wasn't much play, so I was able to get it to properly connect to the SATA connector and has been held in by friction.

I now want to upgrade the drive, but am having a difficult time grabbing it out. There is a little play on either side (enough to fit a screw driver head), but it's hard to grip it to wiggle it out. It moves a little bit left and right, but the top bottom is tight enough that it's not coming out. I've tried various tools I' have on hand but I am not able to grip it.

I'm not that great a MacGyver for this type of thing, so would appreciate any thoughts on what might be a good method to either grip both the left and right side and pull, or what (and how) I could possibly affix something to the front of the drive that would allow me to pull it from the front.

Great if I could keep the drive intact, but I'm OK if I muck it up slightly cosmetically.
