iPhone X: Identifying OEM iPhone X/Xr Screens?

Hello,

At my shop we have a couple of broken aftermarket screens that we are looking to RTV with OEM ones that come in for replacement. I know that on the iPhones up to the 8, it was easy to identify if it was OEM or not because of the Apple logo at the top right of the back of the screen. I do not see any markings on any of the iPhones after that. Does anyone have a good way of identifying OEM screens on the new gen phones?

Thank you,

Justin

iPhone X: iPhone X exposed to rain

My iPhone X got exposed to rain and all my cameras were fogged and face id was dead. Its been 3 days in rice and back camera lens has been cleared but still got some drops. The front camera lens gets fogged every time I switch on the phone. My camera quality is so bad now. Other than this phone is working absolutely perfect. Warranty is over. If I give it to a 3rd party shop and clean the lens will I get the camera quality back? Maybe I have damaged face id but I just need my camera back. Its lockdown here and I am looking for someone who can open it up and clean the camera. I have checked my sim strip and it hasn't turned red so there is no indication of liquid damage. Please suggest me something,

iPhone X: Face id and Both camera condensed

Hi guys, 2 days before i dropped my phone and it was exposed to rain. I took it and realized water went in as speakers were muffled but luckily it became fine later and my phone was working absolutely perfect. I checked sim and realised water damage strip was white. But it was late when i came to know that my camera back and front was condensed . First thing i did was checking my face id and unfortunately it was not detecting. I then used it for one day without any issues and found a spare so that i could keep it in a box and set it for dry. Every 6 hours i check it and it was clearing time by time. Back camera still has some but front cam is clear. So i checked again and face id was not working. But i noticed that dot projector red light was back. Ambient and other sensor is working as well. May i know if i have damaged my face id? I feel like red light has some condensation in it as well . Shoul i keep it in box for more time? I cannot take it to repair as it's total lockdown and moreover my phone was never opened and my phone is functionioning well except this . So if i wait will my face id and both the portrait be fixed? My back portrait is now getting better as its no longer showing move away. But i cannot capture perfect portrait with front but my selfies are good as before. Please suggest me what should i do

iPhone X: Water Damage, Cameras + FaceID not working

Several months ago I took a hike in torrential downpour (not intentionally just got caught without an umbrella) and my iPhone got drenched - it would not turn on. I put it in rice and let it dry out for a week. As a result the screen turns on but the back camera won’t display a preview within camera app. The front camera displays a preview but will not take pictures, face ID does not work. If I initialize the camera in instagram the back camera will display a preview but not take a picture.

So my question is does this sound like a logic board issue or a camera hardware issue? Is it worth bothering to try and replace components?

iPhone X: Touchscreen stopped working completely

Have been using the X for more than 2 years now without any issues. Recently started charging with PD charger and it stopped responding to touches only while charging, off the charger it worked. I should have noted this thing but I continued to fast charge and one night the touch stops working completely. Restart doesn’t help. I believe the heat during fast charging made things worse.

Is it the same issue where Apple has the program to replace such iPhone X screens with known issues of failure of certain components?

iPhone X: Screen is Bright WHITE with a big VERTICAl band of FADED GREEN

My iPhone X suddenly developed this problem yesterday. It’s screen is ALWAYS lit bright white with a tinge of green in the middle band. It seems to function normally otherwise: 1) power save mode 2) receives calls, 3) seems to react to the touch screen (as long as I know where I am touching), but the screen is ALWAYS bright white.

I have done hard reboot but of no avail.

The ONLY way it works is if I can get it to the LOWEST brightness which I was miraculously able to do. So I cant see the contents well, but since I use the “dark mode” by default, I am able to ready/navigate the screen. But the moment I change teh brightness to be even a NOTCH higher than MINIMUM setting, the problem comes back.

iPhone X: Screen stopped working after going into bathroom - Water Damage

It seems that my iPhone X has got water damage, I can confirm this by looking into the SIM card slot and seeing the red line.

The phone has been prone to getting damaged when in contact with water, from being in the rain or tipping water on in; usually the screen will flicker and after leaving it in the sun it works after. Not sure why my phone has had this issue.

The other day the screen stopped working after going into bathroom, the steam seems to have damaged the phone and now the screen won’t turn on. The phone is still working as I restore via iTunes and it Is still receiving notifications.

Can anybody answer me what might the issue be so I could possibly resolve it?

iPhone X: Touchscreen not working after drop in saltwater

I left my phone in my bathing suit pocket white I went to the beach. It was in there for about a minute or 2 in shallow waters before I realized and immediately left the water to dry it. The phone operated fine after taking it out turning on and being able to open it and use it. The only problems were the Face ID wouldn’t work and it didn’t recognize the SIM card. I rinsed it off with fresh water and put away since I wasn’t able to leave. About 2 hours later I’m going to leave and I check on it. The touchscreen doesn’t respond at all and I can’t interact with it. I take it to the beach house, take out and put back in the SIM card, and rinse it off under the sink to no avail. The phone has connection again so the SIM card problem is fixed but the touchscreen still won’t work. I left it in the sun to dry for a few hours and came back to the touchscreen working again, but I was only able to unlock it before the touchscreen immediately become unresponsive again. Everything else on the phone is functional and I have reset 100 times already. I cannot go to any place to get it checked out for at least a week since the beach I’m at doesn’t have any place nearby. Is there any fix I can try? Should I keep it in the sun to see if the touchscreen suddenly starts working again? Am I stuck without a phone for a week on vacation with no solution realistic for my situation?

iPhone X: post screen repair bluetooth and gps (and sometimes wifi) don't work

Hello all, I have had to do some work on my phone. I have replaced the screen once and am about to do it again (I’ve been replacing them for myself/friends/family literally since the first iPhone) . I have experience. I also had to mess with the face ID module because I was having boot cycle issues which I figured out.

Since I’ve done this so many times I tend to be haphazard with repairing my own phone. Initially I had a boot cycle loop issue so I worked out how to fix that and for awhile left the face ID module removed from the phone to allow my phone to boot. I also left the bracket off.

I was having GPS/bluetooth/wifi issues so I put everything back in its rightful place until I get my new screen.

I ended up making sure everything was tightened and that helped my wifi issue but now my bluetooth sucks. it pairs but if I paue the music for more than 7 seconds it unpairs. airPod pros dont automatically sync with my iphone (after forgetting them on iphone and resetting the airpods to factory settings ) . GPS is unusable. if i close out of google maps and open it again occasionally it will be the right ish location in the range of about 1000 feet.

what could affect bluetooth and GPS like this? a solution would be nice, but even just a point in the right direction, like what part, element, connection, cable, frame grounding piece or antenna could be affecting both things?

I already made sure that gold/brass things on the face ID module in the corner is on and in the correct position in step 21 in this link iPhone X イヤピーススピーカーとフロントセンサーアセンブリの交換
