iPhone 8: New battery won't charge

I installed a new battery in my iPhone 8 and it won’t charge. Still shows only 1% after 3 hours on charger. All parts are Apple parts except for your new battery.

iPhone 8: After Screen Replacement, front facing camera not working

Just replaced an iPhone 8 screen using a not so great aftermarket part. Had to swap over the front camera/speaker/prox/ALS assembly onto the new screen.

Everything works - except the front facing camera. The proximity sensor, speaker both work. Front camera only shows black.

Is the flex connector likely the culprit?

My intent is to reseat the flex connector for these components. I don’t expect this to solve the problem.

If the problem isn’t solved by reseating the connector, I’ll purchase a new flex.

Wondering if there are any other issues I might have missed.

I changed the screen very carefully. After 2 days my rear camera is giving me a black screen and the flashlight is not working anymore. Do you have any ideas?

Hello, iPhone 8 working completely as normal except the rear camera and flash. Also torch function not working. Selfie camera works fine.

iTunes restore no progress. I can get a new camera and flash module so wondering if anyone had any thoughts? I believe it was dropped in water as I can see yellow stains on the bottom part of the screen…!

iPhone 8: Microphone hardly picking up sound when using apps?

Hey guys! I’ve been having some trouble in regards to the microphone on my iPhone 8 when using apps. Whenever I record a video on snapchat and play it back, the sound that the microphone picked up from what I was recording is extremely quiet and muffled? I’ve cleaned out my microphone, restarted my phone multiple times, i’ve checked the restrictions on my mic in settings as well as deleting and reinstalling the apps however it still doesn’t work? I recorded a video on snapchat and it was extremely muffled and quiet (you could barely even hear it with earphones in on full volume) and then i went onto the camera app and recorded the exact same thing and you could hear it perfectly clear and loud as it should be. But then once again on snapchat and instagram it sounds awful? This problem is also happening on the voice memos app aswell? The only one it works on is camera.

As you can imagine this is pretty frustrating when trying to record stuff using apps other than the camera app. If anybody has any ideas or anything that could help me it would mean a lot as i’ve searched for ages to try and find answers but still nothing!

iPhone 8 screen broken and replaced a cheap China copy screen. Everything works well until I upgrade the system to 11.3, the screen touch not work? Anyone know how to solve this issue? Is it a bug? (the screen can work well after downgrade to 11.2.6)

iPhone 8: iPhone 8 not "showing"a charge after the replacement of LCD?

The LCD was replaced. Now the phone is actually charging but no showing the charge. Everything is working. It shows 1% but it actually is charged. Now, it does power on and off on its own? Left it unplugged for two days. It was charged when I came back to check on the process but still showing 1%. Any thoughts?

iPhone 8: Replacing Cracked Camera Lens on iPhone 8

I've owned my Iphone 8 for 5 days and somehow the camera lens cracked. It doesn't affect the camera performance but will this part become available at some point? The apple store said the only way is to replace the entire phone. I saw a youtube video for an Iphone 7 where they heated it up, removed the glass lens and then glued a new one in using silicone. Any advice?

iPhone 8: phone no longer start after wireless charging coil damage.

I recently attempted to replace the rear glass on Iphone 8 and was able to remove the broken glass without bit of work but was finally cleared it. one think I noticed during the glass removal was that the wireless charging coil got little ripped and damaged. i did not think it would be a real bid deal but since then the phone does not boot up. would simply replacing the wireless charging coil resolve the issue? I don’t want to purchase replacement part if in fact the phone is completely dead, due to maybe short circuited itself when the coil was damaged somehow. any thoughts or assistance would be greatly appreciated…

Hi,

I have a iphone 8 with very weak network signal. only picks up 1 bar and that is in and out. have tried different sims and resetting network settings , none of them have worked. only get 1 bar thats in and out on ee, vodafone etc. what part would need to be replaced? can find ones for wifi and Bluetooth but both of them work fine.

I just got a new screen for my iPhone 8 and it is in a endless bootloop when plugged in and when I unplug it it instantly dies and won’t turn on when I press the power button I plug it back in and same thing. iPhone 8: Lightning connector and flat replaced but now a noise on the mic

Hi all. A store replaced my lightning connector+flat from my iPhone cause the original stopped to charge. After this all recorded sounds on whatsapp, voice memos, facebook and phone calls using the regular cell phone and whatsapp audio are generating a noise on the background of the audio. Using the headphone/mic from Apple nothing is recorded. Recording videos using the front and rear camera, the noise is not recording. Only on what I described.

You can hear the noise on a voice memo on a YouTube video that I did. The first audio is the original recorded. The second on the video I just amplified for better hearing.

@strongbow I tried to clean the grills, but I think the correct possibility is the "1". Cause I can try to use the iphone near from my face, on the normal position, without touch the sensor with the screen on and the sound is horrible. The answering machine here when I call to test turn off due the sound so low.

The audio message created on the whatsapp before the replacement has a good waveform but after the replacement is horrible. Here is the screenshot.

iPhone 8: Water inside screen, but phone not dead

Hello. Two days ago my phone fell 2m deep into the pool, after 5 min we managed to take it out (its winter). I turned the phone off instantly and put it in rice for 48h but as most know that doesn’t achieve much.

Two days later since the incident, I connected the phone to a power cable and it turns on, appears to be functional as well. However, there’s notable water in the display and a few water drops inside the camera lenses.

So I have a few questions…

1) Should I keep the phone 100% off until there is no noticeable water, or could it be safe to use after a certain period even if there’s moisture in the screen/camera lenses?

2) Is it worth to try a DIY fix, considering the phone still looks alive? Does the fix require components to be replaced or simply drying? In case I take it to (unofficial) repair shop I’d like to know what to expect.

hi, i have a problem with my iphone 8, the phone when i connect to the charger can hear the connection and charging sound while the phone doesn't charge. 0.00A .. but the charging icon is, I replaced hydra, tigris, mosfet q3350 and nothing helps .. batteries and dock also. I will add that the phone normally shows the percentage, e.g. 40% is not at 1%. please help! thanks!

In need of the back glass cover on a iphone 8 replacing, is it worth just replacing the whole back housing that comes complete with back glass cover, as I have seen it is a nightmare to remove just the glass.
