I washed my iPhone 7 plus into our faucet with soap because i thought it is a water resistant and should be survive during the cleaning, But after cleaning it, i noticed that the Screen is not functioning i cant touch it but there is a display. So i force shutdown my iPhone and put it in a rice bowl for a few minutes. But when i try to turn on my iPhone it doesn’t boot up it just keep on bootlooping so i tried to put my charger.

I noticed that there is a water inside my phone a lot of water. So i immediately opened my iPhone to remove the motherboard and to let it dry. Finally my iphone booted up!

Everything works fine microphone, earpiece speaker and everything! Except the HAPTIC VIBRATOR and REAR speaker.

I tried to replace my whole charging port including rear speaker and haptic vibrator but its the same no work at all.

i tried to put my haptic vibrator and rear speaker to a working iphone 7 plus of my friend it is working without issues.

I need your help guys! Do you think that some of the IC in the motherboard had coression or shorted so the iphone is preventing to work the speaker and vibrator? Do you think i should clean the motherboard or put it into the isopropyl alcohol for a minutes?

UPDATE! i removed the motherboard and soak it to isopropyl alcogol and cleaned it. But still no sound on the rear speaker and vibration still not working.

iPhone 7 Plus: Can you replace the ribbon cables on display

iPhone 7 Plus: swap logicboard from my broken phone into a working phone to get data?

Hi,

I have an iphone 7 plus that has a shattered screen and bent body and the apple store wouldnt replace the screen for that reason. I do not have an iCloud back up and want to get my data off of that phone.

Based on a few other questions, I understood that if I just replace my logic board from the broken phone into my wife’s working iphone 7 plus I should be able to get the data from it. However, Now that I have replaced the logic board, the phone comes on, screen lights up with Apple logo for a while then for a split second on the screen I see, “iphone is disabled”, and then the screen goes dark. Nothing shows on the screen. if I turn the mute switch on/off I can hear some buzzing but pressing the home button is not doing anything. Pressing power does not do anything.

If I hold the power button and volume down button to reboot it and then Apple logo appears again…

What am I missing? is there any other components that I need to replace along with the logic board to get it working enough to back it up to iTunes and get the data out of my phone?

Short version: Replaced logicboard into a working phone now it doesn’t work, phone lights up for a split second, screen shows ‘iphone is disabled’ message, screen doesn’t seen responsive, goes dark right away. What am I missing?

iPhone 7 Plus: iPhone keeps restarting after screen replacement

A friend came to me with an iPhone 7 Plus that was jammed in a car door. The screen shattered and there was a bend in the phone too. The phone still worked entirely, I could make phone calls, take photos with the forward facing camera. I decided to replace the screen. I have replaced screens in the past but never a 7 Plus. After putting the screen on, it worked. But I found the phone would restart every 1-4 minutes. Boot up time was normal. After a while I realised while using the phone (in home screen) the phone would not restart, but when sitting unused (lock screen) it would. Because it wouldn’t restart when being used, I was able to update the phone to the latest iOS. But still had the problem. While making sure everything was tight I realised again that the phone would not restart while the screen wasn’t attached to the body directly (with still being attached with the cables, not screws and either on the home screen or lock screen) but a soon as I attached the screen to the body (at least clipped it in), it would continue its restart loop.

I have read that it had something to do with the digitiser, camera assembly, something near the earpiece of the phone. Is this possible?

iPhone 7 Plus: Touch screen not working after screen replacement

Not sure if there is something I missed when installing but I’ve messed with the connections and took everything off the new screen and check the ribbons, I’m not seeing any damage but I’m amusing its because its a cheap replacement screen. I also tried to connect the damaged one back on and am not getting any response from that either. The damaged screen was having a hard time but was still a little responsive so I’m not sure if it is just a bad replacement screen or if its a different problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

iPhone 7 Plus: iPhone 7 Plus No Service after Charging Port Replacement

I have an iPhone 7 Plus which I need to replacement the charging port. So, to save time and make sure the charging port works, I always test the charging port by connecting it to the board and also connecting the reception signal connector to the board as well. Now, I’ve tried over 4 different charging ports (all from the same company) and I keep getting ‘‘NO SERVICE’’ on all of them.

Does the charging port need to be completely installed and screwed in for the service signal to work? Or should I be getting reception signal regardless?

When connecting the original OEM charging port back, I have no problem with signal reception.

iPhone 7 Plus: no wifi and damaged board

i recently picked up an iphone 7 plus that appeared to be in good condition. upon setup i realized that it could not see my wifi. tested wifi with my old 6s and it was working fine. set the 7 plus on the router and it would see and connect to wifi. figured it was an antenna problem after some reading online. ordered the wifi diversity antenna that goes on the loud speaker, turns out that wasnt the problem.

i than learned that there was a second antenna in the top left corner that consisted of a black plastic cover. so i removed this black plastic piece and upon inspection i came to realize that something on the board had burned. what would be the cause of this im going to guess that this board is junk now since the wifi doesnt work properly but looking for another opinion. i attached some pictures of the burned area .

iPhone 7 Plus: Screen and battery replacement but home button doesn't work.

So I was replacing the screen and the battery both parts from iFixit. I replaced the screen before on this phone without a problem but when I did the repair this time, the home button was not working but the Touch ID was. At the beginning of the repair after i powered it on to test function, the home button was working based on the taptic engine going off and it exiting apps but then pulled up an error and put in the digital home button and wouldn’t work after that except for touch id.

May or may not be relevant but when I would power up the phone and put in a password, the top right of the logic board where the top connector is would get very hot then cool back down. I don’t know if it is normal or not but just thought I’d add that information to see if it helps. Thanks!
