iPhone 7 Plus: Why cant people hear me on phone calls after replacing my screen?

Hi! so my phone has recently been through the works. i replaced the oem screen with one from amazon because it broke. that screen was terrible quality so i bought one from this site instead. but prior to buying this screen from here i replaced my charging port cable because it stopped charging all together one day - also from amazon. Everything is installed at this point and the only issue with my phone is the top speaker wasn’t working unless I put pressure on it. Now that I’ve purchased a better quality screen from ifixit my speaker works! Yay! BUTTTTTT during phone calls people cant hear me, they say they hear 1 out of 5 words as if im going in and out. Now I’ve talked to siri, talk to text, video and voice memos and my mic seems to be perfectly fine. Why is it that people cant hear me?? i called myself from another phone and i can hear myself going in and out on the receiving end… help much appreciated!

Hey all. I am hoping someone can tell me either what to do, or how to get out of this mess. So I bought this Iphone 7plus from a posting on craigs list. I am very aware of people trying to sell stolen phones and phones where they owe money. I lucked out and found this phone from an older gentleman who had just bought the X and wanted to sell his 7+. So after i verified the phone was completely legit, I bought it from him. I used the phone for about 2 months then in middle of March, it did an ios update. when the phone came back on, it looks like it took everything to do with me, out of the phone, has the original phone owner info up, has his email address and wants his password. I have tried literally everything I can think of to try to get out of this loop. But because I do not know the mans password or entire email acct that the phone thinks is the owner still... I cannot use the phone at all. I am not the most tech savvy person in the world. I just want my phone back. It is now locked, and I cannot do anything until i put in the previous owners password. I have tried and tried to find this man, even had taken out several adds on craigslist trying to reach him. Short of actually ever accomplishing that... What options do i have now? is the phone just totally unusable now? I paid 400 bucks for this phone to only get 2 months of usage. I sincerely hope someone has a solution for me that can get me out of this icloud lock. Has this happened to anyone else after an IOS update? Does anyone know who i could contact to get me my phone back? Is it even possible to wipe the phone completely and get the previous owners info out of my phone forever so this never happens again? Please someone help!

iPhone 7 Plus: home button ring is raised from top

hey guys I have bought a 7 plus yesterday and what I have noticed is that the ring on the home button is a little bit raised or sticking out on top and perfectly aligned on other sides, it works fine though the touch, the taptic engine. I have a 7 also but it is fine, also the sim tray is not original it doesn’t have a seal on it. the main concern is TOUCH ID. Should i return the phone and get other one or is it okay and I continue using it. will it get damaged or failed?

its so much minor that I could only feel it by swiping my finger over it and by looking very closely to surface I can see it a bit raised on top …

Please describe the best solution

Ok, I did the glowing apple logo mod on my IPhone 7 plus and now the touch screen won't work. It powers on but I cant punch in my code or use the screen. I watched many videos and read up on this mod and I am pretty sure I did everything right. I even disconnected the light to see if it would work then but it still won't. Please help..

I just noticed that this piece in my phone is cracked. Could this be the reason?

So I changed a screen on iPhone 7 Plus... everything works (apart from ear piece) as expected until the final step .. when i connect the flex cables, everything is working fine including touch ID, camera, vibration and sound. But as soon as I put the screen back in the final position for the two bottom screws... there is no vibration, no sound, touch Id works but no home button.. any idea?

I had my cracked screen replaced on my iPhone 7 Plus about a year ago. It was done by a third party repair shop, not Apple. I had minor issues with the touch; nothing that I could not work with and ignore. It does tend to heat up doing minor tasks and especially with a cover (that I never had an issue with with my 6 Plus, and still don’t). Makes me think that there may be some hardware damage, but I am not sure. Recently, within the last two months, the screen started going black, with some pixels of white in a small line on the screen, but not in the same place each time. Then would go to the startup screen with the Apple on it. It keeps doing this when I use it. This phone is a lease and it’s about time to return it. My predicament is that I won’t be able to lease or finance another phone, so paying the $130ish to buy the phone and repairing it, may be cheaper than buying a new one (almost $800 for the same phone, not ready to get the 8 or X). It is a 256GB Rose Gold iPhone 7 Plus. Given the symptoms, should I even dare take it to Apple or another repair shop to see if it can be salvaged or is it not worth it? Thank you!

Replacing the LCD on the iPhone 7 plus and the screen comes on but no touch I'd or respond to the home button.

I've disassembled it a few times and put it back together but i cant find the fault.

Any one have any ideas?

Hi i had issue with iphone 7 plus after replace screen client came back and said ear pice not working i bought ear pice and few flex cables and replaced as every one said 1 flex cable ear piece is working no camera 2 nd flex camera works not earpiece any solution????

I have a broken iPhone 7 Plus and i tried to fix it and forgot to disconnect the battery (fully discharged) before the screen cable (the screen flew out but the cable still connected to the logic board)

I just got a used iPhone 7 Plus, and it has a cracked screen. I experience ghosting when the iPhone is plugged in (charging), especially when the device is warm or hot. The iPhone was never been opened/repaired, and every parts in the iPhone are still original.

Does a cracked screen cause ghosting (self touch) or is it something else?

I have an iPhone 7plus black and it is iCloud locked. Will replacing the logic board from a different iPhone 7+ White remove the iCloud lock. I realize that I need to carry over the Touch ID and that there will not be waterproofing anymore. Had anyone done this if so, does it work?

Hello

I currently have a iPhone 7 Plus, Which has been working fine up until today, I turned the phone off as usual before I went to bed, Woke up, Went to plug it in for a charge, And nothing happened. I immediately thought it must have been the cable (Genuine Apple cable that came with the phone) So I went to Apple to purchase another plug and cable but unfortunately the same issue still persists.

I’ve had the phone for a year and half so no Apple care or warranty unfortunately.

I’ve tried the usual, Clean out lightning socket, Hard reset, Erase, etc etc even tried DFU mode in the hope iTunes might recognise it, But still nothing, Has anybody got any suggestions? I personally don’t think it’s the battery, What about a charge port replacement?

When the phone is off and I plug it into a charger it will power on but just won’t charge.

Im pretty much scratching my head on this one.

I just purchased this home button, but in reading comments it sounds like even with a proper replacement the home button still will not work. I don’t care about Touch ID. I just want the function of my home button back.

Will this item do the trick on iPhone 7 Plus?
If I do the replacement correctly and it still doesn’t work, what do I look at next?
This happened during a battery replacement and I think maybe too much alcohol or rough treatment getting the battery out was the culprit.

I changed the battery and charging port. It auto restarts when I put new battery and drain fast then I plug in the charger it shows charging for few minutes then no response.

Recently while following TronicFix I noticed he used a reprogramming tool for the iPhone 11 or something to copy the OEM information of the screen over to the replacement. Now, I haven’t found any good English content about doing it for the 7 and 8. He successfully copied his OEM information into a replacement screen. However, my concern is thus. Have anyone of you done it? and are all replacement parts equal? for example. Does ifixit even map the touch id into their flex cable or are they just mapping the button function? The exact tool he used i found on alliexpress for about $50 (JC-V1). If it’s worked for anyone else that would be great to know!
