I recently replaced a battery and damaged the flex cable of the front camera assembly by removing the battery with the display still assembled. (moved the LCD sideways which teared 1mm of the flex cable in the bended corner).

As I didn’t have a spare flex cable, I reassembled the phone and noticed the rear camera and flashlight stopped working also.

I ordered a new front camera flex cable assembly, which fixed the earpiece speaker and front camera but the rear and flashlight still don’t work.

It’s not a water damage issue, it’s caused by assembling the phone I guess.

Can someone explain what happened and even better, solve the issue ;-)

I own a repair shop and do repairs on iPhone's for at last 3 years.

Now i got a iPhone 6s that drives me CRAZY!!!

A customer brought it in for a backlight damage, as always i checked the FL4211 for damage, none to bee seen also no burning, after i took of the CPU shield and the D4021 was a bit raised so i replaced it, after that the backlight came on and worked like a charm.

BUT, after the initial boot, the image on the screen was full of a pattern i have seen before, namely when you turn on a iPhone 6/6plus without the U2402 on. Vertical lines with some kind of checkered pattern.

I replaced 3 screens, cleaned the FPC, restored with latest os, nothing changed.

After i measured the "PP1V8_TOUCH_CONN" and here i found a open circuit, i made a strap on the "FL4209" and after that everything was in order with that line.

Still no touch function, i measured the following lines:

• "SPI_AP_TO_TOUCH_CS_L";
• "SPI_AP_TO_TOUCH_SCLK";
• "SPI_AP_TO_TOUCH_MOSI";
• "SPI_TOUCH_TO_AP_MISO";
• "TOUCH_TO_AP_INT_L";
• "AP_TO_TOUCH_CLK32K_RESET_L".

All of them give me a ~0.420V voltage drop to ground, no open circuit on any of them!

Also i mesured the "PP5V1_TOUCH_VDDH" when the phone was on and i got the 5.1V on that line.

I cannot understand what the problem is? Where am i missing something? There is no mechanical damage to the board, all SMD parts are in the right places.

Maybe someone has a ideea...

I wasnt originally attempting a board repair until this fell off so im worried that it might be something critical.

My iPhone starts rebooting after 20-30 minutes or use after restoring its IOS every time.

Its battery health is 91%

I ordered a set of Logic Board and Touch ID for my iPhone 6s from China (AliExpress)

It worked for about 25-26 days perfectly without any problem.

After these days it started rebooting and getting stuck on Apple Logo.

To fix this I even tried to restore its IOS (11.4).

After restoration iPhone started and worked for 2 hours initially.

After that same problem again.

It is not even jailbroken.

1 day I was trying to solve this issue and I got an error while restoring it (Error Code 2009 on PC and 4014 on my MacBook Pro) both errors were on iTunes.

after that I tried to restore it using 3U Tools.

It successfully restored and worked for 2 days but after that same problem started of rebooting and getting stuck on Apple Logo.

1 day I opened my iPhone and checked the Logic Board and I found it was Water Damaged from Circuit area where Audio IC, 338S00120 Power Management IC, etc are present

I Cleaned it Properly using Alcohol and give some it some heat at that particular Circuit using a heat gun.

And after that I tried to restore my iPhone and it Success Fully restored and worked perfectly for 4 days now.

But again now it is showing same problem and this time it shows error 9 once on my MacBook Pro but after that I used 3U Tools and restored it and again tried to restore it using iTunes using my MacBook Pro and this time no error while restoring but that old rebooting and Apple Logo Stuck problem is still here.

I am very much frustrated now of this.

Can anyone please help me to solve this problem permanently.

I bought used iPhone 6s in perfect condition, but I've got problem with it. I'm a runner and I use GPS trackers a lot. I tried to change the app from Endomondo to Runtastic but there was no effect. My tracking is full of waves and it is "rounded". I installed app called GPS Status. It shows sometimes my position with 10m accuarcy but the most of the time there is +-65m and even if the phone is not moving it shows speed occasionally. What should I do?

I also need to replace the taptic engine inside as the phone no longer vibrates. Would it be safe to do this after someone else has replaced the screen? (Open the phone again) Any help on what to do to safely replace my phone's screen or any thoughts on this at tall would be great! I went through iFixit to avoid having the problem that was reported with using non-genuine parts or knockoffs through amazon of having weak or no cell signal with the antenna.

After installing the iFixit kit, I'm having the issue that I thought buying iFixit's more expensive part wouldn't cause. In places I used to get moderate 4G signal I'm down to 3G and in places where I used to get weak signal I have no signal at all. I can still get 4G in some places but it's rare now.

Is there something that I could have botched up in the phone or do I just need to return and get a new part from iFixit.

I have replaced my broken screen with a new one and

I still have no screen, what else can cause the screen to be completely black?

I can tap, I can hear sound coming out from the device.

I need to know if it possible to replace the FPC connector for the LCD and digitiser for the iPhone 6S as i believe i have damaged mine while replacing the screen - the LCD comes on but the touch response on the screen is not working. Any company in the UK would be appreciated however I am willing to post overseas

It's done this after replacing the screen or disconnecting the battery before, but the charge usually goes back up after a minute of being on. This time it did not.

So I plugged it in while I tested out the new screen and thought the picture quality looked worse than the previous screen, which I got from iFixit last spring.

Text appeared somewhat blurry and the overall picture looked more yellow than normal.

The yellowness might be because the screen was dark and I was near a light and the brightness wasn't adjusting.

I guess that means that the ambient light sensor isn't working. But that is the least of my problems right now.

After using my phone for a few seconds I realized that animations were slow, force touch did not work, and multi-touch actions in general were laggy or inaccurate. After about a minute the phone restarted for no apparent reason.

When the phone came back on the battery charge was down to 1% and after using it for less than a minute it restarted again.

So I disconnected and then reconnected the screen but didn't snap it into place, having it just rest on top of the phone. This time when I used the phone it worked fine.

The animations weren't slow, force touch worked most of the time, and it didn't restart after a few minutes of using it. And the battery charge actually started going up. (The light sensor still wasn't working though.)

So I snapped the screen back in and all of the previous problems came back. This made me believe that the bending of one of the flex cables was causing this.

This display has cables that are longer than the original display and the one I got from iFixit last year. When I snap this display into place the cables press on the display.

So I used the phone for a day without pressing the screen back into place. The next day, however, the phone started to randomly restart even without the display being snapped back into place.

I could only use the phone for about a minute before it restarted. By the next day the phone wouldn't turn on at all.

I plugged it into a charger the white screen with the Apple logo came on but only for a few seconds. Now I can't even turn the phone at all. So I'm not really sure what the problem is. It could be a defective screen.

TDLR: After screen replacement the battery drained, didn't charge, constantly restarted, and now the phone won't turn on at all. At first I thought it was a problem with the flex cables but now I have no idea what the problem is.

If anyone has any advice or knows a solution help would be greatly appreciated! And if anyone knows if iFixit can swap the screen with a different one please let me know!

I just replaced a screen on an iPhone 6s, and after I put the screen on, it won't light up showing me it's on. I can hear the little reminder noise, so I know that the phone is on. I have put the old screen back on, and the screen still won't turn on. I have tried disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it, but it still hasn't solved the problem.

Does anyone know what's up with this phone?

I’m not technology savvy and I need to take it back because there are issues I see. I wanted to get advice from someone who is.

First thing I noticed is that now, the home button seems to be raised. When I run my finger over it, it feels rough around the edges of the button. It also wiggles a little bit now. I never noticed these before.

Second, the screen doesn’t seem to move as smoothly and is not as responsive as it used to be. Sometimes I have to press it two or three times to click on something. Not all the time though. Also, the 3D Touch doesn’t work right. Sometimes I have to press a lot harder, or sometimes it won’t work at all. I googled a way to test the screen and one person suggested using a doodle app and running your finger diagonally very slow and see if it’s really wavy and he showed examples with 3 different phones, one including an iPhone. In his test, the iPhone did the best. In my test, I got the wavy lines like one of the other models in his video.

Also, when I scroll slowly down or up a page, it’s choppy.

Another thing I noticed is that when I am on a phone call, the sensor that turns the screen off when you have your phone to your ear doesn’t work right. It will turn off and then back on and off and back on. That causes me to end up pressing the mute button with my cheek.

I’m pretty sure these are not apple standard parts, but shouldn’t I expect better quality?

Even now, while typing, it’s not as responsive as it once was. It selects different letters and I have to backspace a lot.

I have a feeling they are going to try and stiff me on this because of the water damage, but I just wanted an opinion from someone more knowledgeable about whether the quality should be better than what I got.

Edit: I wanted to add.. any technical terms or things that I could say to them that would help me convince them to get my phone back to a better state would be extremely helpful!! :)
