iPhone 6 Plus: Loud Speaker Not Working

I have an iPhone 6 Plus and can’t seem to get the loud speaker to work. I have nearly replaced everything on it except the logic board and I think the camera, just about everything else has been replaced including the case. Both camera’s work, the earpiece works, the headphones work, proximity sensor works, lightning adapter works, syncing to the computer works. It’ wont let me video facetime, but can audio facetime and switch to video, but no audio out of the loud speaker, only the earpiece or headphones. When I try to turn the volume up or down, the ringer display shows, but does not show the volume bar. If the headphones are in, or it is on silent, it works as it should. Any ideas?

EDIT: Also, restoring it as new didn’t work either.

iPhone 6 Plus: Is third party battery replacement going to affect my battery app?

I purchased a third party battery for my iPhone 6S Plus before the update that has affected the battery app from working properly or giving a warning. My question is, is my iPhone 6S Plus affected by this update, and if it is, is there a workaround, or should I just purchase a battery from Apple? I’ve always been one to do things right the first time, or just buy the best the first time, but with this phone being so old, I thought…maybe I should buy third party, and here I am:), back to why I have my philosophy, lol.

iPhone 6 Plus: Touch Screen Not Working, not touch disease

So my brother bought a 128gb iphone 6 plus forever ago, worked like a charm till it got touch disease and got replaced with a new one, he dropped that, got a new screen on it, but the replacement wasn’t legitimate and didn’t even fit right. Anywho it sat in there a while until it stopped working intermittently without a case.

Fast forward, he drops it again, so I take it, replace it with a new screen that fits, and after checking all the slots and cables I’m baffled.

The screen will work amazingly for 30 seconds on average, fully responsive, but then it just at a random interval between 25-58 seconds, just drop off. And it won’t start working again until it’s powered off and on again. The phone is kind of useless if I get 30 seconds out of it per restart, so is there something I’m missing here? I’ve kept the phone dead still so there are no outside forces affecting it, I’ve tried purposefully making the screen stop working but to no avail. I’m at a loss, any suggestions are very very welcome.

iPhone 6 Plus: How to Troubleshoot More Complex iPhone Problems?

So, here's the background on my problem.

Dropped phone in salt water.

Did NOT try to turn it back on.

Took apart, cleaned to avoid corrosion and dried it.

After a few days, put back together.

Blank screen, iTunes recognized it but would error when restoring.

iTunes Stopped recognizing.

Installed new battery and dock connector.

Phone was charging but would not be recognized. I say it was charging only because the battery was getting a little bit warm, so power had to be going into it.

Now it's not doing anything at all, no warmth coming from the battery and the computer will not recognize it. I've tried multiple cables and usb ports on two computers.

I may have put a screw back in the wrong spot and damaged the mother board but I honestly don't know. I've tried everything I could think of and most of the phone repair places near me only do simple stuff like screen replacement.

1.) How can I go about troubleshooting this problem?

2.) Is it possible to restore an iphone without the screen cables hooked up? I ask because I can determine if it's a screen problem as well as something else.

So recently I got this phone and I thought I could fix it, I still think I can but I don't know if it's a battery issue and will need to replace or if I should place on DFU mode. I've tried to restore but each time it says an error occurred and it failed. I turn it on and it puts the apple logo and then turns off 3 seconds later and that happens over and over again.
iPhone 6 Plus: damaged U4500 or what else?

So the phone was originally bought in Germany by my GF Father. It was a little bent, had few missing screws, and sometimes touch didn’t work. I fixed the bent case and replaced the screen a few times (She just dropped it few times with fatal damage to screen).

The problem really began when I ordered missing screws and put them back into phone. She told me that It didn’t charge at all. I checked the charger first but it was ok, so I proceeded to look at the phone. For the first few times trying to charge It, It showed in exchange charging, and then not charging. I reassembled It about two times(mainly deassembling only to screen connection cables where were missing screws on the shield ), and after second time it charged to 78% in maybe 15 minutes and then stopped. Since then It reboots after few minutes of doing completely nothing, doesn’t charge up at all. After reboot, for a few seconds it shows 1% and then hits up to 78% and stays there even after rebooting probably 30 times since then. Selfie camera died too after adding missing screws but don’t know if it changes anything.

Any ideas? I replaced the bottom part which contains charging port, minijack etc - with no result. I read about that U4500 chip. It seems to be quite cheap but I will have to practice with my HotAir for a bit to do this kind of action, and at this point i have no guarantee that thats the problem. If i have done some grammar mistakes, please forgive me - It’s not my native language.

Best regards,

iPhone 6 Plus: Was replacing iPhone 6 plus screen when it stopped working.

I am an experienced in tech repairs in laptops and desktops but this is my first phone repair. I am replacing an IPhone 6 plus battery, screen, front camera, and home button. I just found out that the home button ribbon on the screen's back panel was ripped after receiving parts and starting work (my first mistake, not seeing the ripped flex connector) so I don't have a home button. I installed the battery and then the camera on the screen and then the screen on the phone. I plugged it in and powered it on. The screen turned on but would not respond to touch. I thought that I might have connected the screen ribbons poorly so I tried to turn the phone off. With no working touchscreen and no home button I was stuck. With laptops, when this happens, you unplug the battery to turn the device off, so that is what I did. I unplugged the battery off of the motherboard and removed and reinstalled the screen on the motherboard. The screen does not even show an image. If I flip it open, I can see that the backlight is on but there is no image or change in the front of the screen. I think the motherboard is fine because unplugging and replugging the charger makes a sound but I'm afraid I fried the lcd. What do you think happened and is there anyway to fix it? Is just waiting for the battery to drain the only way to safely turn the phone off? Any help is greatly appreciated.

iPhone 6 Plus: Touch Screen Not Working and Touch ID Not Working

I replaced my iPhone 6 Plus' screen with a fix kit and transferred everything that needed to be transferred (in the case of the fix kit only the home button needed to be transferred) and put it back together. When I booted it back up, the touch screen wasn't working, and touch ID was disabled. Please note that the new screen itself is working perfectly. I've heard of the touch id not working when a new home button is used, but this is the same home button. PLEASE HELP ME!!

Edit: I was able to get the touchscreen to start working by disconnecting the battery (something I didn't do for the initial repair) and disconnecting and reconnecting all of the display ribbon cables (including the touch id cable) before reconnecting the battery and putting it all back together. However, I still need to figure out how to get the touch id to start working again. I think that I might need to swap the LCD backplate with the one from the original screen as I used an ifixit fix kit which came with everything except the home button preinstalled on the panel. I still would like a professional opinion or at least one from somebody that has gone through this before!

iPhone 6 Plus: Why does my iPhone 6 Plus camera only focuses on objects 24” away?

Greetings,

My iPhone 6 Plus rear facing camera only focuses on objects 24” away from the camera. Any objects farther away or closer from 24” of the camera becomes blurry. Touching the screen to force the camera to refocus doesn’t seem to do anything. I have cleaned the outer lens and made sure it wasn’t scratched. Is there some mechanical components in the iPhone 6 Plus rear facing camera that allows the camera to focus or is this all done through software? I have restore my iPhone OS to factory using ITunes to make sure that it is up to date and the camera still doesn’t focus properly. I am wondering if the focusing functionality can be resolved by just replacing just the rear facing camera or if there is something else that needs to be replaced (i.e proximity distance IR sensor or something that would calculate distance in order to properly focus the camera).

I Googled this problem and found that Apple has a website where I can enter the serial number of my iPhone 6 Plus and it would let me know if I qualify for a camera replacement for this known defect in the camera. However, because I am out of my Apple Care warranty coverage and that the good faith replacement grace period has already expired, I am stuck with having the rear facing camera repair done out of pocket. I noticed that iFixIt has a rear facing camera kit for my iPhone 6 Plus which is reasonably priced. I would like to know if anyone with the same symptoms that I described above has been able to resolve them by just replacing the rear facing camera or if they had to replace other components in addition to the rear facing camera.

Thanks,
