iPhone 5: iPhone 5 Touching Itself!

Hi guys,

I purchased a used iPhone 5 the other week, and a few days later noticed that the screen had started to "touch itself". Initially this was just near the top (it kept dragging down the top menu!). When opening snapchat and using the drawing tool, it was drawing a diagonal line across the screen on its own. Also whilst typing, it would often hold down letters on its own, or the screen would freeze completely!

To get out of the frozen screen, or to stop the screen being touched down on its own I would simply turn the screen off then back on and it would be fine!... for a few secs.

My initial thought was a dodgy digitizer, so I replaced this. It worked fine for half hour then started to resume back to pressing itself!

I tried another screen, and also changed the metal back plate to the scree. Again, this would work fine for a bit then start playing up again!

Despite having 88 days warranty left, Apple wont look at it free as I've removed the screen myself... which apparently voids the warranty.

I'm stuck for ideas!

I've already tried doing a restore! Once from the phone and ones via iTunes.

Stuck for ideas, but it's really annoying! I can't even send a txt properly now without having to turn the screen off then back on a few times to avoid buttons being pressed or it pressing back to the prev screen!?

Any suggestions would be great!

iPhone 6s: iPhone 6S home button and touch ID not working after screen replacemen

Hi, I've been repairing phones for a while. I repaired an iPhone 6S screen and attached the original home button to the new screen. However the first time I plugged it all in the home button worked but not the touch ID. I then unplugged everything to get the touch ID working, re- plugged the home button cables and now neither the home button nor the touch ID is working. Ive plugged everything in multiple times since. No difference. Any ideas? Also- the home button does seem to press down quite far however the screws are in as tight as they will possibly go and I'm not sure that that would affect anything? Any ideas? Thanks! :)

iPhone 4S: All black rubber piece locations of the iPhone 4S

Thought I'd make this post as there is no single place where all of them are mentioned.

- Thin slender rectangular black rubber piece with slit:

fits to the edge of logic board at the top left where the cables are bent, to protect the cables from any damage from the sharp edge of the logic board. Marked red, on the left of this picture: http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/8572/...

- Very small thin square black rubber piece:

is placed on the cable between the dock connector and the microphone in order to fill up/serve as a spacer, I think in order to isolate the cable from the vibrations/noise caused by the loudspeaker.

http://d3nevzfk7ii3be.cloudfront.net/igi...

- Small thick square black rubber piece:

is stuck on the right open contour of the loudspeaker in order to fill up/serve as a spacer at an empty space next to the rubber microphone inlet, I think to isolate it from any noise interference or vibrations. See: http://s12.postimg.org/440dmyrlo/image.j...

This guy's post helped me find out: Where and how iPhone 4S rubber square piece speaker dropped goes

Either way, it's not a primary element of the iPhone 4 or 4s, so it would probably only cause more wear due to insufficient protection over a long period of time.

Anyone feel free to add any more locations, remarks.

Cheers

iPhone 5: iPhone 5 will not boot.. constant bong noise on charge..

I have an iphone 5, and in the beginning i had an issue with the battery percentage being at 20 and the phone shutting off randomly. however when i plugged it back in it would charge

So i was away the weekend and this happened again and when I tried to charge it up to turn it on again this time it would not power up or find the cable.

So I thought ok as I could still see a lightning bolt cable on the phone showing i need to plug it in, I thought it was just the battery and dock port that went bad.. So i took it apart and ive put in a new battery and put in a new dock port..

Now the screen will not turn on and there is a constant beeping noise when in charge or a vibrate if i switch the slider.. (like the plug in charge noise, bong)

I dont know if i need to put a new screen onto it now.. Hopefully someone can help advise me..

Its weird cause I can see in itunes the phone is connected and is charging now.. but when i try boot the phone up when its not connected to a lighting power cable and when there is no screen attached it will not boot..

I wanted to see if i could hear noises cause i thought i might be able to determine it was the LCD in that case..

Does anyone know if you can boot the phone the up with the screen on it ? as in be able to hear noises etc.

Ive tried the hard resets etc. and even a different power flex cable..

does anyone know about the constant bong noise while on charge???

iPhone 1st Generation: Which of the three Mainboard-Connectors is for the Touch-Sensor?

After disassembling my 8 gig 1st Gen iPhone in order to replace the broken glass and digitizer I found my Touch-Sensor not working anymore.

So I redid the whole procedure and it worked without a glitch, for about 3 hours...

Since everything besides the touch-recognition works I think it might be a faulty connection from the digitzier to the logicboard.

Does anybody know which one of the mainboard-connectors is responsible for what task? I named the connectors as follows ;)

the one on the side of dock-connector (with the black clamp)

the really annoying small one on the camera-side

the bigger one on the side of the camera.
