iPhone 6: Why does my iPhone 6 only work when plugged in?

I have dropped my iPhone a few times and the screen has cracked. But one day I was just using my phone as per normal and then it suddenly turns off and repeats the apple booting up logo then turns off and repeats this for a bit then stops. When I plug my phone in it repeats the booting up progress for about 20 mins then boots up and sticks on 1% and when I remove it from the charger then phone turns off. I have tried opening up the phone disconnected and reconnected the battery to see if that was the problem and it has not helped any suggestions on what I can do? Im not sure if the battery is broken or if something else in the phone needs replacing.

Cheers

iPhone 5s: Ripped the home button cable, can I still fix it?

I took apart my phone and ripped the home button cable, but I didn't tear the cable, I detached it from the screen side. Now the home button does not work at all. I was wondering if there was an easy way to reattach it instead of having to buy a new part. I know the touch ID might not work, but I just want to regain the home button's abilities.

Just to be clear, the cable was not ripped in any way, as you can see by the pictures below it was separated near the home button.

iPhone 6: iPhone 6 WiFi/Bluetooth Not Working

So for the past 6 months or so, my GPS has never worked accurately on my iPhone 6. It would get close to my location, but would always lag behind a bit. I never worried about it because if I'm travelling I usually get my wife to use hers.

BUT, now I've found a need for accurate GPS on a daily basis... So I purchased a new antenna and replaced it.

The new antenna worked (properly - was recognizing WiFi, had bluetooth capability, GPS worked, everything) for about 20 minutes, and now the option to turn on WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS is completely disabled.

Like. If I go to Settings > WiFi, the button is just grey. If I go to Settings > Bluetooth, all I get is the circular loading symbol and it won't stop "loading."

So... I talked to someone and he recommended restoring my phone to factory settings. I done so. I erased all content/settings and set it up as a new iPhone. The problem persists. I can not connect to WiFi, I cannot use bluetooth, GPS does not work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

iPhone XR: iPhone XR stuck in Boot Loop - anyway to recover data?

Hello,

I have an iPhone XR that is stuck in a boot loop. It happened after attempting to back-up the phone using iTunes (the phone’s memory is full), and I got a message that said that there was an error during the backup. I unplugged the phone and all the apps were stuck and wouldn’t open, so I tried restarting the phone. It has been stuck in a boot loop since, when it turns on I just see an Apple logo, and sometimes it blinks. Force restarting doesn’t help, it just keeps showing the Apple logo after it turns off.

I also tried to bring the phone to “recovery mode” and I see an option on iTunes that prompts me to either update or restore, but after the update downloads it tells me that it couldn’t update because the “firmware is not compatible”. I read about DFU recovery mode, but it seems like that would do a full restore (losing data).

After some research I found some programs like: Fonelab, iMyFone D-back, Dr.fone, and Tuneskit. There is a trial option, but I think I will have to pay to use it, which I’m willing to do, but I want to make sure it will work.

Does anyone have any experience with these programs, or something similar? Or is there any other way to try and restore the iPhone’s OS without losing data? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as there’s a lot of data that I’d hate to lose…

I didn't see any guides tackling this particular issue: My on/off switch is not working. I'm ready to change carriers, and I need to turn my iPhone on/off a lot during jailbreak/unlock.

iPhone 5s: Screen orientation won't rotate after LCD/digitizer replacement?

Just finished up with a repair for a cracked LCD on my iPhone 5s, and everything seemed to go very well.

I've checked out everything and it all seems to be working quite well, good as new. That is, until I tried to watch a video in landscape mode and my phone would not rotate. Uh-oh.

I've toggled orientation lock on and off, no luck. I've done a reboot (home & power buttons), no luck.

I've checked with compass/level, and they have no functionality when the phone is turned.

I've looked through the teardown but it's not clear to me where the accelerometer/gyroscope is located, but I assume it's on the logic board somewhere. Is this something as simple as a loose cable from the screen to the logic board? Is there anything else I could try besides double-checking cable connections?

Update

As Tom pointed out, the M7 was likely damaged during the operation.

Luckily for me, I took my phone into an Apple Store and described my issue with the phone failing to rotate (no mention of replacing the display). The employee took the phone into the back to inspect it, didn't see anything out of place.

After restoring the phone didn't solve the issue, she decided the phone was defective and since it was covered within the one-year limited warranty, I was issued a brand new phone.

iPhone 6s Plus: How to turn off phone without screen? I do NOT want to restart.

My boss wants me to turn off his iPhone. His screen is broken, so he cannot slide the slider to do so. A hard reset or restarting does not fix the problem. I do not know why he wants it turned off or why that matters, but that is what I need to be possible. Is there any way to do this without just draining the battery all of the way? I don't need to reboot, and I don't need to do a hard reset, I need to do a hard reset, I need the phone to turn off and then not turn back on afterward. I saw a suggestion online saying to hold the home and power button and let go right when it turns black, but this does not seem to work, as the phone still restarts.

iPhone 5: Home Button Constantly Pressed Without Touching Device

So... I have an iPhone 5 with a home button problem. I pre-ordered this when the iPhone 5 was released, so it's out of warranty by now.

The problems started happening around September and I sent it in for warranty repair in October. The device worked well for about a month or so, then toward the end of November it started doing the exact same thing. Now it's December, and I'm using a back-up iPhone 4 until I either figure this out or scrap the device for parts and wait for whatever 2014 brings us for iPhones..

I can leave it sitting on the table and Siri will randomly activate. I can also try pressing the home button and it will do nothing or register a triple-press. When I hit the power button on top of the device, it will randomly take screenshots.

The behavior is leading me to think that it is constantly registering my home button as being held down for some reason.

My first approach to the situation was to address the mechanical function and replace the home button and the home button cable. After replacing those parts, my iPhone 5 is still misbehaving.

Is there anything else which could be a mechanical factor contributing to this behavior or is there anything software-related which I could also attempt?

I've already attempted a factory restore, and it's running current iOS 7.0.4...
