iPad Air 2 Wi-Fi: Touch screen nor working

I bought ipad air2 a month back. The touch screen is not working, I tried to restart but its asking to slide which is also not working. What should I do?

iPad Air Wi-Fi: Home button feels sunk in and sticks

I replaced the screen on my first iPad Air ever. Before closing it up I did the usual QA check. And after closing it up I did it again. All was well on my bench. Two days later the customer contacts me to tell me that the home button was sunkin and sticking. Sure enough when he brings it back to me, it's sunk. I removed the screen and compared it to the old one (which thankfully I had not tossed yet) and there was a missing cushion. I replaced the cushion and sealed it again. I test it and it works fine. Call the guy to come get it and show it to him while he is there.

He calls me an hour or so later and says it still has the same problem. So I offer to replace the screen at no cost to hime. I order from a different company and make sure that I odrdered the screen with home button installed!!!!

I put the new screen in and transfer the cushion. Sure enough after a day of usage, the fellow calls me AGAIN and says the same thing is happening.

I know this person, not that well, but we travel in the same circles so I know he's not putting one over on me or anything like that. The problem is legit.

Anyone else have such a problem with an iPad Air? What did you do to resolve it?

iPad Air Wi-Fi: Dark spots on left side of LCD from top to bottom?

Dark spots on left side of LCD from top to bottom evenly spaced? They are not lines, its not a broken lcd, and its not a faulty lcd, a new one has the same spots. My only guess is maybe a backlight fuse? but the other 99% of the lcd is fine. It looks like only part of the back light is not lighting up. They are spaced about 1cm apart and go no deeper than 1cm into the lcd from the frame. And all the dark spots are identicle. Thanks! second time ive seen this, and anyone that can repair it?

Hey, I recently got a ipad pro for my birthday, and I hadn't really set anything up all I did was create an apple account and set up touch security. The day after I tried to use my ipad but my finger was not recognised and i'd forgotten the passcode i'd used as I set it up late, so the ipad told my to connected to itunes and erase the data. But my ipad is not connected to the wifi and I have tried to access my icloud but says my acount is not connected to a device, and I have tried to pull the lower tab to connect wifi but theres not tab and i'm really confused on what to do next and I dont really want to have to pay for someone to fix it, but i will as a last resort, and advice is helpful

iPad 2: Replaced iPad battery but now it is stuck in a boot loop.

I replaced the battery of my iPad 2 with the new iFixit one but now it is stuck in a boot loop. I tried my old battery and it shows a low battery sign but the new battery just puts the iPad in boot loop. I tried the Home button + power button reboot thing but it didn't work. Could it be that the new battery might be faulty?

iPad Mini Wi-Fi: iPad mini activation error!

After I did a reset on my iPad mini, it got an activation error, tried everything but still wouldn’t work, connected to iTunes, restore and update, remove the device from iCloud and still fails. I went to a repair shop and the technician said NAND chip is needed to be replaced, I’m kind of doubting because the iPad still turns on, I can set the language and location but during activation it fails, any idea how to fix this %#*@ thing?

Hi! I'm wondering if I can tether the 3G on my iPhone to my iPad, so I don't have to pay AT&T yet another $29/month for the iPad?

That way, I can velcro my iPhone to the back of my iPad, and I'll be all set.

I just need to get a new pair of cargo pants so I can carry it around.

iPad Mini 2 Wi-Fi: White Vertical Lines on the screen

My iPad was given to me last summer of 2014. Today, its been 3 years and still alive. No dents, or even a crack. But then last month when I woke up, the screen of my iPad just had some vertical white lines all over the screen! I don't know what to do. It just doesn't go away. When I use it in full brightness then make the iPad so hot, I lock it and open it up and the white lines are gone but when the iPad cools down and I would put down the brightness, the white lines would flash back again. What do I do now? Is it an LCD issue? I just recently bought a replacement LCD from iFixit and its on its way. I wish that would solve the problem.

Did I make the right choice? Any suggestions? A reply would definitely help me a lot.

A few days ago my ipad abruptly shut down overnight. I believe it had around 50% battery left . Now its just screen off it does not even show the Apple logo. I went to the Apple service centre which said this will cost around 400 usd. Is this a battery defect? Is it repairable?

I replace the screen, but when I try to turn it On, has a black screen. When plugged to the computer or to the charging plug, it makes a beep every few seconds.

What i did wrong?

Issue description: touch screen randomly become unresponsive for 1-3 seconds then back to normal again, during the period any finger touch will be ignored, but Apple Pencil works fine on it.

why I am asking instead of going to Apple store: I did, 2 month ago when my first 10.5” was having the same issue, after grueling battle with genius I was able to get a brand new one (Not repaired), and this one is also getting the same touchscreen issue.

what I’m trying to determine: Is it a hardware issue or a software one? How can Apple Pencil works fine while my fingers don’t? Why is it the problem only emerge after one or two months of usage.

Hi Guys.

I hope someone can help me.

Ok i don't use replacement digitizers that are not pre soldered i think i need to hone my soldering skills before i go anywhere near that.

I always use screens with all the soldering pre done.

I'm asking as this is my last screen & this is is special present for a birthday otherwise i would just put another screen on.

I have fitted the digitizer & it all works fine until i seat the screen onto the adhesive.

Once this happens it works fine for a couple of minutes but then the screen starts to activate itself swiping through screens opening apps & typing into any text field that appears that sort of thing.

Ive also noticed the top half of the screen then becomes unresponsive also.

But as soon as i lift the screen up again it all starts to work fine.

I have a horrible feeling that where the digitizer cable is supposed to bend itself back it has kinked a bit.

I do always with any repair make sure not to trap or crease any cables this must have sprung back as i was seating the screen.

This cable has not creased badly as i hadn't started to press down fully.

Is this the issue or cold there be a way to get this solved.

iPad Air 2: Stuck in recovery loop after attempted update.

After the release of ios11 I backed up my iPad on my MacBook Pro and downloaded the update. The update process started, and then the iPad restarted and I got an error in iTunes. The iPad stayed at the Apple logo and wouldn't change. No big deal, I thought. I just backed up. Just restore and go from there.

I did a hard restart, and the iPad loaded to recovery mode with the plug into iTunes information. I plugged it in and iTunes prompted me to restore or update. I tried updating again, which returned with an error 9, and the iPad just restarted to recovery. I tried restoring from a Windows computer with the newest version of iTunes with the same error. Created a new user on my laptop and tried... same error.

Then came DFU mode. iTunes recognizes the iPad, restore starts. The iPad restarts and gives the Apple log and an empty progress bar. iTunes says verifying update, then the iPad restarts, and I get error 9 in iTunes.

At this point I've gone through everything I can find in forums for suggestions, and have even tried some of the apps that claim they can fix these issues. All with no success.

The iPad is cared for pristinely, and has been working flawlessly until this update. Is it bricked for good at this point? Hoping not... can't really afford to replace a perfectly good device.
