——

My ps4 hasn't been working for two days. I have tried 3 different HDMI cables, two tv's and it still wont work. Safe mode isn't coming up but my tv does recognize its connected to a playstation. Their is also sound coming through my headphones when connected to my controller. The light shows itstarted properly (blue light then white light). what should I do?

PlayStation 4 Pro: No Power no beep- no reaction to power button - All voltages present

Hello everyone, had a working PS4 PRO, was unplugged for a while. However, wanting to play on it, noticed it did not react to the button press. USB plugged in controller also no go. I am somewhat savvy with electronics, used to repair ps2 and solder mod-chips back in the day. So I took it apart, all fuses check out ok.

Standby voltages are also present. 3.3v present on the power / eject motherboard pins where the ribbon cables connect. But the darn thing still wont power on of give any sign of life. South-bridge is not shorted.

Only two cap's I found shorted ( I think they are caps from the looks) from what is looks like are the APU's 6-phase power stages. Circled red on the picture.

Also, the circled in green inductors/coils I think, are all grounded to short on both sides. Not sure if thats how it should be...

Anyone able to advise how to proceed what may be the cause or how to proceed next? I have no thermal camera nor a bench PSU to inject voltage. :(

Thank you.

PlayStation 3 Slim: Disk drive making a scraping noise after new thermal paste

I have a PS3 slim (chec3001a). After I put it back together after applying thermal paste, I hit the power button and immediately heard a scraping noise(not against something hard i think), the frequency increasing as the drive spun up. When I tried ejecting, all I got were 3 beeps. I was playing skyrim fine before with some stutters, due to what I think is the dry thermal paste. I'm trying to determine whether I misassembled / reconnected the Blu-ray drive wrong, or whether the drive itself has developed a mechanical problem. Update: i found it, a little white plastic peg on the right. Ill open it and try to adjust timing for it. Update 2: i took it apart and it looked fine, with a laser replacement guide, so I put it back together and now the disk won't spin at all but it goes in and out fine now. Im pretty sure this is a more common problem.

PlayStation 5 Slim: My Ps5 Slim is overheating after reassambly

I had a minor accident where some liquid spilled and ps5 stood in it, now the only part that was a lil wet, was the part where the cooler was. so no critical components even touched the fluid. Now i've dissasembled it yesterday to clean and dried it for a few hours with a fan. Today I tried to start it up, I placed it down upside down so thst if there is a chance of any droplet that it can flow down. connected it and started it. It worked fine until i started a game. The fan went up to its max rpms and then the ps5 shutdown, telling me it overheated

PlayStation 5: PS5 Disc Drive Failure

My PS5 (model CFI-1115A) is no longer reading any discs. It takes the disc in, sounds like it's starting to read it, but then it stops. There's an error on the screen that the discs are unreadable. I am assuming this is most likely a laser issue, given that discs insert, spin, and eject just fine. I see that there are replacement lasers available on eBay, as well as replacement drives. Are the lasers compatible with all models, or are there differences between the models? Am I better off getting a full replacement drive, and transferring the daughterboard over?

PlayStation 4: PS4 Won't Recognize Any Controller – Both Controllers Work on Another

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with my PS4 because I've run out of ideas.

My problem is that my PS4 won't recognize any controller. It's stuck on the "Press the PS button" screen.

Here's what I've tested:

I have tried two different DualShock 4 controllers.

Both controllers work perfectly on another PS4.

Neither controller connects to my PS4.

The USB ports on my PS4 can charge my phone, so they are getting power.

I have tried resetting the controllers.

I have tried different USB cables, including ones that should support data.

The controllers still won't pair or let me get past the setup screen.

Since both controllers work on another console, I think the issue is with my PS4 itself.

Does this sound like a faulty Bluetooth/Wi-Fi module, a USB data issue, or a motherboard problem? Has anyone had this happen before, and what fixed it?

Thanks for any advice.

PlayStation 5: Ps5 wont take discs + beeping and then buzzing sound every 25 seconds

Hello, my PS5 is stuck in safe mode and is showing the error SU-101312-8. The disc drive keeps beeping and then buzzing as if ejecting a disc even though there's none inside. I've already tried checking the drive and also replacing it, but the problem persisted.

I then checked the daughterboard and found that fuse F501 has no continuity. Additionally, the middle pins of the black connector that connects the daughterboard to the motherboard are shorted, along with two capacitors next to it. Should I try replacing the fuse and the capacitors? I don't know their values, though.
