PlayStation Vita: Vita won't turn on. Solid orange charging light?

I have a Vita and it is not turning on. When plugged into the AC adapter the PS Button stays solid orange. When the power button is pressed it blinks once and goes back to being solid.

I bought this unit for super cheap. It was described as "Died one day and won't turn on". I've seen numerous Vitas with batteries that have been discharged below what the protection circuit limits and the Vita stops recognizing them. I figured that's what the issue was. Upon opening the Vita I discovered some corrosion underneath the shields, and some other indications of water/liquid damage. I cleaned the board off with >99% isopropyl alcohol. It did the same thing so I put the board into an ultrasonic cleaner and still nothing.

I've also gone through all the normal troubleshooting steps.(i.e. hol;d power for 30 secs, change cords, power+ps+vol up, etc.)

I have a feeling this particular system isn't coming back, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Does anyone have any suggestions? Any components on the board that would go out first?

Thanks in advance!

**Also to note, the battery is actually being charged when plugged in. The voltage has gone up normally during the charging session/s.**

PSP 3000: PSP turns on with green light but screen doesn't light up

I didn't start my PSP up for a very long while (at least a year or two) and when I tried to power it on, the battery was (quite obviously) dead and I had to borrow it from my friend because my charger is missing, but when I tried to start it up, what I stated in the question title happened and the battery is most likely to be fine as my friend's PSP could start properly with this battery.

Thank you for answering.

Mise à jour (24/08/2017)

Case closed, the screen might be a cause, but I think the real culprit is most likely defects of motherboard. I probably didn't store the PSP properly and the the motherboard probably got a bit oxidized at somewhere that we don't want it to happen. Anyway I'm off for a second hand one and put my old friend on a display shelve.

PSP 1000: PSP Analog seems stuck, always running right

Hello, had a problem with my memory card reader so replaced that.

Since putting it back together the menu's work ok with the directional pad but when I load a game the character just runs to the right all the time in Dexter. Tried with another game that boots to the menu and it keeps scrolling downwards in the menus (could be due to it going right?)

I've tried removing the analog stick, but the character still goes right in game. Also tried cleaning the connections on the d pad and the analog connection and still is the same.

Also I have to press down hard of the dpad for it to work (just the down arrow). Everything else seams to work ok on the psp 1000.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

PS Vita Slim: Battery charges, but green light only blinks once when turning on

I have a Vita PCH-2001 that I bought off eBay for parts and repair and I’m trying to figure out what the issue might be. The orange light turns on when charging and turns off when the battery is fully charged, however when attempting to turn on the system I am greeted by the brief flash of a green light and nothing else.

I am unable to get into safe mode, or make anything display on screen. I verified that the battery is alright by checking its voltage manually, and it sits at 4.18-4.2 volts.

Thus far, my only troubleshooting has been checking for water damage (none that I could find), and re-seating all the ribbon cables inside, which resulted in no change to the symptoms. It should be noted that this obviously included disconnecting the battery, which was what I originally tried thinking the issue may have been related to the previous firmware issue with Vitas.

Visually, I am unable to find anything wrong aside from some cosmetic scratches. Does anyone have any idea what the issue might be?

PlayStation Vita: Water bottle broke in bag and wet my PS Vita

This may have been asked twice before and yes, i read both of them. I feel like a idiot for asking this again but please, let me ask this myself.

On monday 15 september i was in school and after the break (pauze) i put my water bottle in my bag. When i got back in class and did a hour of working i wanted to pick up a worksheet that i had in my bag. For my suprise i saw that my water bottle was leaking. My Vita and charger were completely drounced in it. The idiot that i am tried to dry it and right after that tried to turn it on (i know, i'm dumb). Of course it didn't work but i was really in a stressful state since i got on my birthday (9 september) and i don't often get these expensive things.

Since i was in school i couldn't do anything. The teacher allowed me to dry off everything in my bag but i couldn't do anything about the Vita. I tried whipping the Vita with my hand a couple of times to get the inside water out. When i got home i tried opening the handheld with a screwdriver (i dont do these things often so i followed the tutorial here). Both halves were connected with eachother trough the battery cable that i was to afraid to remove so i left the battery on the system. I noticed a lot of water droplets so i let it dry 90 degress open with both halves (battery cable and black ribbon still attached). After a day my dad tried to charge it because he said the water would have been evaporated already. And it didn't work. After 2 more days i tried again and it still doesn't want to turn on but everything inside looks dry and ok.

Did i do something wrong or do i have to wait for some longer? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me directly. I can send some pictures of the board and the insides and you could tell me if there is some corrosion or other problems. I am really stressed out since this cost me a lot of money and i really want it to run again. I come from the netherlands so i hope my english wasn't that bad.

Thanks for reading and hopefully you can help me out!
