Sony Xperia Tablet S: Factory Reset not working - stuck on Blue Flame

My Sony Xperia S SGPT121 is stuck on the blue flame. When I power it on it shows the Sony Screen, then the Xperia Screen, than the blue flame running from left to right... and this continues for hours. I can force a shut-down by pressing the power button for 10 seconds.

I tried the factory reset (Volume-up + Power-on, release Power-on at Sony Screen) but it is not going to the setup screen. It has no effect at all - simply going from Sony Screen to Xperia Screen to blue flame....

Hi All,

just a quick one. I googled it, youtubed it and no answer... Can't believe there is absolutely no info on internet of how this is done??

People are saying if it isn't on youtube - it doesn't exist

Please if someone could prove me wrong and share a link to a video or tutorial

How to open Xperia Z3 tablet? How to change the cracked screen for example, or how to get to the battery to change it?

I know there's no video tutorials of how it's done, but maybe at least a photo-tutorial or text guide?

Any help would be appreciated.

My girlfriend was charging her Xperia z tablet and it fell down with the USB cable still attached. Now the tablet wont charge. I am sure it would still charge with the cradle charger but Sony doesn't sell it anymore. Any ideas?

Hi, just now i was playing with my tablet, suddenly my tablet all program crashed and not responded. So i tried to restart it but now it stuck at the loading position. I also tried to use a small thing to press the reset button but still doesnt work. So what should i do now?

Hello Guys,

I have a Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet, Model: SGP771. After changing a cracked screen, with a brand new original Sony screen, the screen work but it doesn't light up. I mean it shows information and the touch sensor works, but the LCD light is not working.

I tried two different screens, and i get the same problem.

Any idea or suggestion with it?

Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet: How to separate the screen from the frame?

Hello I've bought a Z4 tablet from a friend but after using it for a while one part of the screen starts to flicker. Its like its duplicating other parts of the screen into this rectangle wich covers like 1/4 in the lower left. If i turn it off and leave it for a while it dissappears but when I've then used it for a while again it comes back. The longer i use it the more intense the flickering/flashing becomes. My first thought was that it was software related but I've tried repairing it through xperia companion without succes. I'm now starting to believe its a hardware issue. Im thinking it might be the flex cable that gets some kind of a reaction when the tablet gets warmer. I'm considering to try to open it and replace the flex cable but after searching on the internet it seems to be a big risk that the screen will break and the cost of a new screen assembly is way to high if it does. So the question is could this be a problem of the flex cable and if so what is your advice for separiting it with minimal risk of the glass breaking? I've found a heat pad separator for around 50 $ wich im thinking would help alot and i can have use for it later too but the question is what temperature i should set it to and for how long.

Hello!

I replace a display from a Xperia tablet Z and I tested it before installation. When I tested it everything is OK. I applied double face tape around the frame and I install the new display. I try to turn it on but the display won't show image.

PC recognize the tablet when I connected, I made a firmware upgrade, but the display won't work. I check all connections to logic board and everything looks good.

Please help me

Hi,

Recently, I bought a Sony Xperia Tablet Z of which the previous owner had removed the whole screen. Tablet was working, then dropped it, causing the screen to be broken (LCD was blacked out, digitizer/touch still working). He then removed the screen as a whole and sold it.

So I obtained a LCD/digitizer assembly on AliExpress, but when installing the screen I get the same problem that he had: Touch is working fine, tablet switches on nicely, but LCD does not respond to anything.

My question is:

Does anyone know if this is a well-known problem after dropping the Xperia Tablet? I'm more or less sure it's not the LCD of the replacement screen that causes the problem (given the background), but how to find the faulty component?

It might be the flex cable between LCD/Logic board? I've tried to measure the resistance between each tiny pin of both the connectors of the ribbon, but it's not easy. Some pins are linked to multiple other pins. Is there an easier way to check this?

If it's the logic board, is there any way to make sure which component is broken, and is this fixable?

I have a set of pictures which I'll upload so you can see the logic board / flex / LCD, maybe this helps.

the lcd was broken after a drop. tried replacing the lcd assembly but now the tablet won't turn on. even with the old screen i can't seem to get it booted. tried al the button combinations but it didn't work. tried unplugging the battery for 10 min. still nothing. when i press the power button the led flashes 3 times, that's it...

any idea's ???
