Samsung Intercept: boots up but touch screen wont work to unlock the screen

Recently dropped phone in a puddle. pulled out the battery and dried it out for around 3-4 days days now under and mild mild heat lamp. the phone doesnt get hot, just warm. The other day i booted it up and got to the screen lock screen. But the touch screen wont work at all. anything i can do?

History:

had dropped it previously and phone continued to work. has a single crack across the screen but never lost the ability to use the touch screen at all. basically no affect. Then something went wrong with the charging port on the phone i believe. The phone wont charge or recognize something plugged in the micro usb port. So, i found an external battery charger and have been getting my phone to work that way.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus: Broken back glass panel

So i broke my rear glass panel on my 4 day old s8+. Turns out these phones are so slick that they slip right out of your pocket. Mine hit a tiled floor on the edge, and the lower right corner of my screen cracked. all this while my case is coming in the mail...

Anyway, because its only a small section which is going to be covered by a case eventually anyway, i was looking to repair it with some kind of resin, like the windscreen glass repairers use for chips. i think this should stop further crack propagation and hopefully also reseal the phone keeping it water proof.

Or i will replace the back glass completely either myself, or through my insurance. I want to see the cost difference and difficulty first.

There are no guides yet so could someone look at this? there will be alot of cracked front and back screens because this phone is so slippery.

Samsung Galaxy Nexus: Fixing possibly damaged USB charging port

I seem to be experiencing this issue.

I think it most likely is a mechanical issue. (The phone seems to react to USB cable movement; what makes it difficult to determine is that sometimes moving the cable doesn't help until rebooting the phone.)

After some investigation, I found that there are suggestions to replace the charging port. (One auction—already over—is here.)

I guess I'm answering my own question already, but in that case, this post might be useful to others—especially since it seems that this is one of the most common issues. Actually, I would like advice on whether my diagnosis is right. And assuming it is, maybe someone who's already done the repair could write a guide on how to do it.

It looks like a straightforward change, but I'm a total noob.

Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus: No network after screen replacement

Replaced the screen/frame on an AT&T S20 Plus, transferred over all parts including front camera, charging daughterboard, 5G antennas, etc. After sealing it back up, it’s not detecting the cellular network. Fearing a bad part, I put it back in the original screen/frame and same thing. All connectors look fine, pressure pins on the charging port are in good condition, too. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Samsung Galaxy S6: blocked IMEI. what do I do now?

my boss bought a phone some time last year and about 2 months ago it stopped working. turns out Optus blocked the IMEI number and refused to tell my boss why.

he bought this phone 2nd hand of a guy some time last year and it was working for a few months. And sadly my boss bought it with cash so he has no proof of perches.

as far as i read there is no way to get them to unblock the IMEI, which is really really dumb. and changing the IMEI/ESN is highly illegal. i don't wanna go to jail but i still want to help my boss recover some of his losses.

because Optus refused to mention why it was blocked i am going out on a limb here and hoping that if it was a stolen phone they would request it be sent to them so it could be returned to the rightful owner.

now that that's out of the way i read it was still legal to sell a IMEI blocked phone provided it is stated it's IMEI blocked. the phone is in good working condition with no cracks on the screen either.

what parts could i sell? should i just sell it whole?
