According to the Verizon tech, there is a pressure crack on the screen, rendering the phone useless. I'm willing to attempt a repair (I read the teardown), if it would work and I could find a replacement screen.

I have a Nokia N800 sitting around at home, and I used it a lot while it was alive. When I didn't use it for a couple months, it was simply bootlooping. I tried everything—restarting the device, taking out the battery, and even trying to flash new software into it. It just wouldn't work. My only leads are putting it into a fridge, or getting it far away enough from my Wi-Fi to boot up, because apparently, 5 GHz networks bootloop old devices sometimes (although my Wi-Fi is only 2.4 GHz). If anyone has gone into the same problem as me and successfully fixed it (I would like for it to be permanent, of course), please let me know?

Hello there, I recently wanted to revive my old Sony Ericsson W810i phone, so I purchased a power cord and battery only to find that the phone would startup but get stuck on the sony ericsson splash screen with the black background. When I power on the phone with the power cord plugged in it gets beyond that screen and gets to a charging screen, then if i unplug the phone the walkman animation plays and it get to the second half of the boot process (the sony ericsson logo but on a white screen this time) and then proceeds to shut down 3 seconds later. I have tried the obvious remove the battery and wait method and the hold c button method, the phone is also fully charged. Thanks, All Help would be Appreciated!

I'm quite new to electronics repair but I need to restore this phone as my mother had frequently utilized this phone for the purpose of recording videos and pictures during my early years of life. Unfortunately, about a decade ago, she apparently spilled water onto this phone which resulted in the screen to turn black. However, despite appearing as though this phone is completely dead, it shows some forms of life such as the number pad lighting up, hearing the startup jingle, and seeing the power light turn on. Another thing to add is that the water indicator did turn red. Thanks!

EDIT: I got the motherboard out, do I use ipa with the metal still on it or can I begin cleaning it? ( Like I said I’m new lol)

Nokia XS-250WX-A: Remotely 'locked out' of my router/modem - can't access config anymore

So I have this Nokia router/modem to access my fibre optics internet but recently the provider decided to change something and the modem part of my device doesn't work anymore.

They did sent a modem but it won't work separately - now I have to plug the new modem into my Nokia device so I can have internet access.

And it works but both devices are huge, I live in a very small place and regardless if I could have internet with just one device before it doesn't make sense to me that now I have to have two devices to do the job of one.

This is what says on its manual:

"Integrates the ONT and wireless access point functions to allow one less device in the home"

Anyways I wanted to copy the config from the new modem into my Nokia device - keep in mind the Nokia works as both modem and router but now has been 'locked' to work just as a router.

But I can't access the Nokia config anymore as it was remotely 'locked'. I used to use an IP address for it but it doesn't work anymore. I even tried a hard reset but still no joy.

Any ideas in how to remove this 'lock' so I can access the device's config like I used to?

Samsung Brightside: Phone will not turn off without removing batter

My Samsung Brightside all of a sudden from one day to next will not turn off anymore, only way I can turn off is by removing battery. Also when I do charge it and remove charger the phone will keep charging even though charger is disconnected. I had this problem with another Brightside previously and just got rid of it for another one. Now this one is doing same thing and nothing has happened to it, no water damage, no dropping, etc. I take really good care of my phones and I don't want to buy another one again. Does anyone have any suggestions as I love this phone and do not want to upgrade to smart phone too expensive. Thank you!
