Gigabyte P34G: Where can I find a replacement battery?

Hi!

I have a P34G and my battery is slowly dying out. Now I wanted to buy a new battery, but the problem is, they are no where to be found. And well Gigabyte is very reluctant to provide any other info except for where I can send the laptop so they can service it. This is a no option for me, because the nearest service is 600km away, which means a lot of possible things to go wrong on the way there and back, as well as me being apart from my working computer for at least 2 or more weeks. So...

1. Does anyone know where I could buy such a battery? It's supposed to be Schenker GNC - C30.

2. Does anyone have any experience with installing a different battery in to it? I'm especially interested in the P34g v2 bigger capacity battery, but can't seem to find any info on which battery it is and where to buy them as well.

I will be grateful for any information at all!

Cheers, Tadej!

Gigabyte: Black screen with vertical lines

Hi there!

So I recently purchased a Gigabyte G5KD laptop (i5-11400H / RTX X3060P) - it’s just over a month old.

I was watching Netflix in bed last night and all of a sudden the screen started rolling blurred grey streaks across it, then went black with nothing but these vertical lines appearing.

As you can see I plugged it into my monitor and it works fine, but the laptop display itself seems to be buggered. I tried resetting the graphics card but sadly I’m starting to think it’s a hardware issue - which is a crying shame considering how new it is.

Any clue what it could be? Is there anything I should do before I start considering taking it to get repaired?

Thanks

Gigabyte: Screen Flickering in a really weird way.

Got myself a Gigabyte Aorus 5MB gaming laptop around May last year, the screen started to flicker by December, I sent it to the retail store where I bought this laptop from to get it fixed since it’s still under warranty. They contacted me that they had replaced the screen of the laptop and now it’s working and sent it back to me about a month after.

It’s only been two weeks since I got the laptop back and the screen starts flickering again. The screen flickers in a weird way, it shows multiple purple and pinkish lines on the top of the screen, and the below the lines everything just seems to be stuck and not moving at all, I can only move the mouse above the lines which is just a small portion of the screen left and I can see some blurry overlays of the programs and windows I’ve opened before the screen starts flickering. Here are some photos I took when it happened:

As you can see I’m looking at discord at the time and the faint youtube video is showing.

This is when I’ve restarted my laptop, it shows my desktop screen even at the boot page.

Some infos about the screen flickering:

I’ve tried using other monitors, they are working fine, so I think the problem is with the hardware.

The screen flickers are exactly the same as the last time, even the number of the lines are the same, so I’m thinking it’s not the problem with the screen.

Something really weird about it is, the screen only flickers at night, especially when I turned on the air conditioner. I don’t know how an AC can possibly affect a laptop’s screen, I’ve only heard about TV screen goes black when the AC is turned on so if anyone know anything about this, can you explain how it works?

I don’t think the screen is damaged too. Like I said, the screen was replaced, and the laptop has been on the very same desk very since I’ve bought it, I rarely close the lid too.

That’s all I have for now, thanks in advance!

Gigabyte: Clicking noise inside a Gigabyte Aero 15x v8 laptop when plugged in

Noticeable clicking and buzzing sound from inside of the laptop. When unplugged noise stops. It is not fans, nor disk, I have an SSD.

As far as I can tell it does not affect performance, but when it is quiet — sound drives me crazy. Is there something I can do about it?

I found what makes noises:

Looks like some power module and the coils (transformers?) makes the noise.

Another thing I noticed that sometimes clicking gets louder when the picture on the screen changes. But it is not consistent.

UPDATE:

Just found out that after unplugging or plugging the power adapter all is quiet but in a few minutes noises come back. It doesn't matter whether system runs on battery or adapter.

Gigabyte: I can't find a specific HDD flex cable for my laptop

Hello.

Last year I purchased a Gigabyte Aorus 15 x9 laptop with the Intel i7-8750H and the Nvidia RTX 2070. I noticed there are a few different models of this laptop and mine was the slightly cheaper one as it came without the internal SATA hard drive, just the 512GB m.2 system drive. I want to buy a 2tb 2.5" SATA barracuda drive like the more expensive model but I need a specific flex cable to connect the drive. After disassembling the back panel, I've noticed the space where the drive will fit but I don't have the flex cable. I've searched all over the internet for one specific to my Aorus but no luck. Could you possibly help me out and source me the right flex cable? I have a picture of somebody else's Aorus 15 x9 with the cable and drive (the cable I need is circled in red). Please find this picture attached.

Gigabyte: Gigabyte aero 17 defective fans. Where to get spare parts?

Both the CPU and GPU fans are defective due to bearing damage and need to be replaced. They are mounted on a shared bracket. However, I cannot find the bracket with the fans as a spare part anywhere. Can anyone help with this?

Gigabyte: Black screen with blue keyboard light, unable to boot

My laptop is a Gigabyte G5 GD, with i5-11400H and RTX3050.

I tried to change my thermal paste after 2-3 years of usage. And now my laptop unable to boot after I change the thermal paste and reassembled it. The laptop now whenever I tried to boot showed a black screen with a blue keyboard lights on.

What I had tried:

Connected to a external keyboard and click on caplock to see any changes but the caplock light ain’t turned on

I had no external monitor to check on the screen condition

What can I do next?

Gigabyte Aero Laptops: Gigabyte aero 17 inch diagnosed power board problem

Told charger has a problem and the power board is getting intermittent electricity but they can't pinpoint problem. Power board apparently inseparable from motherboard and a new power board will cost more than entire laptop. I was told similar for my imac laptop. I bought a new mac power board and replaced it with ifixit's great assistance and it worked fine for years.

Are they just trying to get me to buy a new computer rather than replacing the power board?

Is the power board separate from the motherboard and replaceable?

Is there a guide for that?

Where does the electricity track through to backtrack problem? E.g. battery etc.

Thank in advance.

Which bios do I use for Linux and what version should I use to get over the error?

Gigabyte: Gigabyte Aero 15 Not Booting (I'm aware it says P34G. It's not...)

I had a sequence where my laptop wouldn't boot. All it did was go to the Setup menu. I decided to open it up and when I did, I noticed it had 2 NVMe slots. I switched the M.2 to the other slot and it seems to be booting and acting fine now. Could that slot it was in initially have gone bad and should I be hunting for another motherboard or leave it alone?
