Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer: Heat shuts off during drying cycle but drum continues to turn

Electric dryer motor runs and turns clothes and has heat when you first start the machine but heat STOPS after a few minutes. When you restart the dryer, the heat comes back on but again stops after a few minutes. I have checked and confirmed the continuity is OK on the (1)heating coil, (2)thermal cutoff,(3)high limit thermostat, and (4)Thermal Fuse. I also opened up the blower and air duct to make sure than nothing was blocking the airflow. Could one of these above items show OK on the continuity test, but still be shutting off the heating coil during the drying cycle? Is there something else to test that I have missed?

Kenmore Elite HE3 Dryer: Buzzing Motor, Drum doesn't turn on its own.

My dryer stopped working, now the motor just loudly hums and it does not turn at all.

The belt is still on and if I push the door trigger in and turn the drum manually and press start the motor will turn the drum in whichever direction that I turn it.

I took the lid off and tried to turn drum but hand, it did turn and as it is supposed to be, it was stiff to turn.

I decided to test the strength of the motor so while i has it turning i put some resistance on the drum from the inside and it was plenty strong, the problem seems to be just getting the motor started.

Any clue on what could be causing this?

thanks

Update (06/14/2017)

I read online it could also be a lint jam... so, i have cleaned it all out, blew and vacuumed it... the support wheels seemed fine, I can turn the motor which turns the drum with just a pinky.

I will put it back together tonight and see how it goes.

We have a whirlpool dryer older model. My husband has tested EVERYTHING for continuity, everything seems to check out fine and getting electricity.
Dryer: Cord that connects to door switch in dryer no longer starts

I've had a Whirlpool dryer for 17 years and it worked fine until it recently stopped working. It was plugged in, the door was shut properly, and the power outlet works when I plug in something else into it. Now it doesn't run at all. No turning or heat. I also confirmed continuity between the 2 metal pins on the thermal fuse

I thought the former door switch was the problem because I got a multimeter and last week it detected continuity in the female end that connects to the control board but found no continuity between the pins in the old door switch

I ordered a new door switch from here: http://www.appliancepartspros.com/whirlp...

After I finally received the new door switch and confirmed there was continuity between its pins, I just inserted it into the dryer, but it still won't start. I then checked for continuity in the female end that connects to control board but it now no longer has any detected continuity

If this is confusing, I attached some photos: https://imgur.com/a/BMT1sj8

The bottom photo is the female end I'm talking about that no longer has continuity

Did I not correctly check for continuity in the female end? Was I supposed to check the continuity between its pins and the blue and white cords in the very bottom of the first image?

Dryer: Frigidaire Dryer Model#gler341as2 Noise After Heating Up

My dryer starts quiet and normal and drys clothes fine. However, after only a few minutes of being on, it starts humming loudly. I have taken everything apart and cleaned thoroughly including blower fan, motor, and exhaust. Any and all lint and debris has been cleaned. I've inspected rollers and all the other aspects of the dryer that the internet tells me is the cause to a noisy dryer. Everything seems to look good, but after reassembling the problem persists.

Loud humming after a few minutes of being on. I have a suspicion it's the element, but how does the element cause a loud humming noise like that?

Whirlpool Dryer: Whirlpool WED6605MW0 Dryer Runs for 5 Minutes Then Quits

We’ve purchased a home that included a washer and dryer. We have no idea of the past history of this dryer. In any of the special cycles like Regular, Delicate, Towels, etc. the dryer starts normally and then shuts off. I’m guessing it is about 5 minutes into the cycle. No more than 10 minutes. The clothes (towels in this case) are still wet.

When I use the Timed cycle, it works fine. No problem running for 30-35 minutes.

I checked out the Lint filter before the first load of two. It was really filthy like the previous owners didn’t know to clean it ever. I also cleaned out what I could of the exhaust venting ducting. Before this second load, I took out the filter and cleaned out the vent ducting that holds it in place. It was filthy and a lot of lint was removed. I disconnected the exhaust ducting and blew it out with my leaf blower. Velocity is supposedly about 70 mph with a lot of volume as well. A lot of lint was blown out at the end where it exits the house. A lot. I thought that was the cause of the issue.

I ran a second load of towels through and got the same results. Everything looks great. Set the panel to “Towels” and medium heat and was feeling positive…till it quit after 5 minutes. I did nothing to it except to set the dryer controls to the Timed Dry setting and 35 minutes. The towels dried, but seemed like there was still some moisture in them.

My conclusions from this are

that the motor isn’t overheating, or the dryer would shut off under any mode I selected.

the ducting is clear. I got some lint out the first time I cleaned the lint filter. I got a LOT of lint out the second time.

Airflow through the venting should be sufficient. Not only is it a decent volume of air, but the air at the exit point outside the house is cool, not hot.

Having it run fine with a timed setting indicates the motor isn’t overheating. Otherwise, it would shut down in either mode.

There are no strange noises happening, like a belt slipping. In fact, the dryer sounds great.

I’m at a loss. And I really don’t want to call a technician out to fix something that I can change myself. But I need a bit of guidance to get started.
