The problem is.. my way of installing the drivers is wrong from the start. Like earlier, after I downloaded the driver from the site, I'm always looking for the "SETUP.exe" file from the folder of the driver itself -> then restart pc -> receive the error -> still audio not fixed.

But then, I've tried installing it through the device manager ->selecting the audio driver -> update -> Change the directory of the driver and locate the one that I download from driverscape website -> and BOOM! IT FIXES THE AUDIO FINALLY! ROFL I'm so dumb.. SORRY FOR ALL THE TROUBLE MAN, and sorry for my bad english as well XD

as for the version of my Windows now= is Windows 10 Pro.. Before I reinstalled my OS, it was Windows 10 Pro too I believe, but It came as an update for my Windows 7 few years back. :)

But really, you're a lifesaver @jayeff ! This issue has already haunted me for almost a week. I'm really glad and SUPER GRATEFUL that i've ended up here on your website. THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN! more powers!

Today, i was randomly playing on my pc desktop, and then, suddenly, my screen went black and even though the pc was running i could’nt hear any game noises, so i knew my pc had crashed. So i turned it off with the button behind it, and now when i try to restart it, the fans and the lights of the pc are running but my monitor doesn’t get any signal and my peripherals either (keyboard not lighting up…) which means the pc is not booting properly.

I know this is a common issue, and i’ve been looking through many threads to find a solution. Here’s whats i’ve tried so far:

• test the screen with the same hdmi cable on an other device (works fine, which means it comes from the computer)
• use an other gpu (hdmi cable connected to it)
• running only one stick of ram and trying every ram slot
• reseating gpu
• clear the cmos
• connect the hdmi cable to the mobo instead of the gpu
• reseat the 24pin plug on the mobo

I’m kinda desperate here, i hope you guys can think of solutions i haven’t tried yet.

Just as little update, i’ve bought a new psu as i said and apparently that’s where the problem came from as it is now fully working as it used to.

• My monitor loses signal
• all my peripherals stop working
• The pc seemingly stays on for a few minutes (the rgb doesn't turn off)
• The pc finally shuts down.
• I've tried multiple things to fix this issue. I've reset my bios by removing the battery from the mobo, and I've reseated my gpu and ram. Somehing to note is that sometimes the pc emits an odd smell, like a burning smell. Can anyone help me fix this to get my pc working again?
• (AMD Socket AM3 unrelated, i just picked that because the forum told me to select a device)

So I have been struggling with this for about a year. When I start my computer up one of 4 things tends to happen.

1. black screen/no video signal detected and the computer will shut off immediately after pressing the power button. Very little sound from the computer.
2. black screen/no video signal detected and the computer will require the 5-second hold to power off, sound is louder.
3. bios screen pops up telling me I need to fix my boot device, there are no boot devices.
4. The computer starts up normally.

This used to take one or two tries but now is a 10-15 minute ordeal of powering it on and off until it works.

What I have done:

1. checked to make sure the hard drives are connected properly.
2. Changed the cmos battery
3. updated the ssd
4. updated the motherboard
5. replaced the power supply
6. used a different monitor
7. sacrificed a goat to the gods of pc repair

Nothing has fixed this so far. Any help would be so greatly appreciated. I may even name my next child after you if you can help in any way!

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3570K CPU @ 3.40GHz

16gb ram

760w Seasonic x series

SSD

My friend approached me earlier today and said his high-end pc won't output to a monitor via DP. I tried to help him over the phone but he asked i pick it up tomorrow so i thought i would get some advice before i start troubleshooting.

Here's what i know so far:

12900k

3090

pcie 3.0 riser (Says he's gone to bios and set link speed to 3)

Apparently only works on HDMI

Apparently has bad drivers (I am unsure though)

anyone who has any thoughts/help would be strongly appreciated as he just build this only to have it not run his games. I will update this thread once i get the pc and more info

I have a Lenovo Thinkcentre model 10AW008FMH and the fan is constantly running at 100% It happend suddenly i left the office for the day and came the next morning to it doing this, it never happend before and it is highly annoying for me and other colleagues so i can’t use it.

I hope someone has the solution for me
