Hi all,

Been asked to fix a pc again, it needed a new powersupply so I fitted that. All good, mother in lA picked it up, took it back when they got home something had happened as a stick of ram was out of its slot (lord knows how) now it’s no displaying anything.

I’ve taken the whole pc apart taken out the cmos battery. Replaced everything. And the bios flickered on for a min then selected boot and it returned to no display.

Can’t think of anything apart the mobo is fried, any advice?

First when i didnt install ram my pc booted good but next day it didn't work,

Then i install ram for it, it still not

I tried many ways and when i uninstall the vga it works

ATX Mid Tower Computer: Why won’t my pc post after I’ve tried everything?

My PC used to boot up, but now it won’t. All it will do is start, run for 30 seconds, and not post then boot loop and restart. I have to shut it off from the power supply to turn it off as the case button won’t. This happened with my original build, so I replaced the motherboard and cpu, thinking it was my old cpu since I had a bent pin on the last one. Yet, the problem persists. I bought a new motherboard that has argb unlike the old one, and my argb fans will flash when I turn the psu on and then never fully turn on. I’m suspecting RAM or PSU considering it won’t post. The PSU was used and bought from a friend working.

CPU: Ryzen 5 4500

Motherboard: Gigabyte B550 Eagle WIFI6

RAM: OLOY DDR4 RAM 16GB (2x8GB) 3000 MHz CL16 1.35V 288-Pin Desktop Gaming UDIMM (MD4U083016BJDA)

GPU: ASUS GTX 550 Ti(yes yes, I know it’s old, but it should be working as the pc problem persists even when I remove it)

PSU: Thermaltake Smart 650W 80+ Gold Non-modular power supply(it’s an older one)

Case(if needed): Corsair 3500X ARGB

ATX Mid Tower Computer: My power supply buzzes when im playing games.

I’ve tried multiple PSs and they all make buzzing noise while I’m playing

it stops immediately after exiting the game

note:all of the pc parts are new except for one hdd.

could it be a virus? I’m suspecting a cracked game to be the reason , couse when i changed the MB the sound disappeared until I lunched the potential reason.

Hi I have an old computer

Today I turned it on and it worked fine for ten minutes until I opened YouTube on a browser and right about when it was ready to load the computer suddenly turned off.The pc wasn't turning on again.I changed the power supply and the pc turned on but the pc turned on when I pressed the power supply's button(Which is strange because It should turn on when I Press the power button on the case).The pc did turn on but there was no output to the display,the fans were all running, the hdd and CD drives were not running and when I turned the pc on the motherboard speaker (Which usually makes a bip sound when i turn the pc on)the was no bip sound.Also as you can see in the video in the front io were the led lights are the red is always on while the green is blinking very fast.In conclusion I found out that the power supply is broken.If anyone knows what else could have been broken please respond.

Edit: found out that the psu died and took the motherboard with it.

Custom built desktop PC: MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard having POST issues

Hey all,

I just bought an MSI B450 Tomahawk motherboard and Ryzen 7 2700 combo.

For some reason the EZ debug lights are showing an issue to me.

The CPU light turns on, then turns off about 2 seconds later. The DRAM light does not turn on at all. Then a second later, the VGA and BOOT lights light up very briefly then turns off. (See video for a visual) No SSD or GPU is installed. I’ve tried CMOS reset multiple times, ran it without the battery etc. it was having the same issue when a GPU and SSD was present, but the issue was more that I was not getting any picture out of my GPU. But the GPU and SSD do work.

I suspect a BIOS corruption, so I’m planning on reflashing the BIOS and see if that will fix it, but I still wanted to see if there was any other ideas for fixing.

My pc keeps crashing, like in the title, not a full windows bluescreen, the display cuts out, the screens go black, then the display comes back and whatever game I was playing closes, and sometimes one of my monitors shuts off because its not getting a signal and I have to restart my pc to get both monitors back on, system specs below:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5500, overclocked

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8GB

RAM: 16GB Ram, 3600 MT/S

PSU: 750 Watt MSI mag A750GL

OS: Windows 11 pro

SSD: Kingston SNV3S1000G 1TB

HDD: Two HDD one terabyte drives, not sure on the models

Motherboard: GIGABYTE A520M SH2

iBUYPOWER: Is this only the CPU's cooler problem?

So my ibuypower element 9260 is a few years old and its really fast, but after around a week of use it gets really slow. After waiting a few weeks the fast performance is back. I was a little concerned about this so i just stopped using it but i decided that i wanted to revive it. I checked my CPU temp because the liquid coolers became really loud and sounded like something was about to pop inside my pc, the temp got to 90 C only after 3 minutes of it being idle (i checked a screen you can see if you spam the delete key after powering it on). I ordered the Thermalright Assassin X 120 refined cooler to replace the liquid cooler with (and new thermal paste). So i just wanna know if the liquid cooler is the only thing that needs replacing, i know the proper replacement steps but im still worried if i just wasted money. But then again, the pc still ran fast and the download speeds were really fast it just became slower overtime but became fast again after letting it rest for a few weeks.

Desktop PC: micro SD Card write protection

It might be stupid question to someone but this is bothering me for a gooood while.

If micro SD card inserted into say Samsung tablet and formatted I can not find any way how to reformat it back on windows! but if you insert the same card say in dash cam or other device sure it can be formatted with no issues but when inserted into PC is the same $@$* - you can only access files but not format the card as its write protected! HELP PLEASE…

I have few micro SD cards and this is really annoying as I need one to use with Windows PC..

Beelink Mini S13: How to remove the motherboard

I can remove the cover on the bottom and remove the 4 screws of the motherboard.

So far I was unable to remove the motherboard from the case, because it seems the HDMI and USB connectors are stuck in the holes of the case.

Do I need to bend something or is there any additional screw etc. still attached, which needs to be removed?

I want to remove the motherboard, because the CPU fan is very loud and I want to make sure the fan or heatsink is not dirty or thermal paste needs to be exchanged.
