Asus Zenbook UX31A: Replacement of the SSD.

Hello,

My SSD has just crashed (after 2 years and 4 month...)

It seems that the corresponding SSD is the AData xm11 but i didn't find a replacement easily. But does a equivalent exist ? I don't know very well but it seems that the ones on the MacBook Air looks like quit similar.

Could someone tell me which SSD i could put in my UX31A ?

Thank you very much.

Asus ROG Laptop: My Asus laptop won’t power on/boot up at all after shutting it down

My Asus Rog GL552VW laptop wont turn on after shutting it down. Right now, my laptop can still charge since the battery light turns on when I plug it in. Although, when I try to push the power button or hold for 30+ secs it won’t turn on.

This started at Aug 16 around 2am when I was running after effects in my laptop. I noticed how it was running laggy so I tried shutting it down to make it run smoother. After shutting it down I left it off for the rest of the night. The next day (Aug 17 around 10pm) I tried starting my laptop and it won’t turn on at all but is still charging.

Things I have tried that did not work:

1) Held the power button for 30+ secs while charging

2) Took off charging and waited about 30mins, then I tried to turn it on once and tried holding the button again

3) Took off the battery pack at the bottom, held the power button for 30secs, placed the battery pack back and tried turning it on again

4) Took off the battery pack at the bottom then held the power button for 30secs, plugged the laptop to charger without the battery pack and tried turning it on

5) Cleaned the dust in charging hole and battery pack area (basically cleaned my laptop)

At this point, I’ve seen people write that they just left it alone for 3-4 days and it worked again. So I’m probably gonna wait until I get an answer here

Asus X550CA: Factory reset deleted all the original ASUS apps.

My laptop, which I've had for just over a year began to randomly freeze. I took it in to a third party and the guy reinstalled Windows 8. The problem is that I no longer have the original Asus apps such as 'Smart Gesture' or 'Instan On.' It's all gone. Is there a way to recover these apps?

Asus Laptop: Computer can't get past BIOS, and doesn't have any boot options.

I don't know what version of ASUS I have, but it is relatively new, a few months ago my computer started booting in BIOS, but I thought nothing of it as I could still boot just fine, just had to press escape to boot, but a few weeks ago my computer wouldn't boot when I pressed escape, there is also no installed storage drive, as well as no boot options in the boot menu, and the boot priority list is blank. I tried to find fixes myself, but didn't find any because I don't know what version my ASUS is, if you could please help me that would be great.

Asus Laptop: Computer screen blank out

Ok, so the past month or so my asus laptop has been experiencing some black out screens. This typically happens everytime I log on, like immediately once I log on, the screen turns black. Then, I have to close it and open it again. It also happens at random, and could happen multiple times in a row. The screen doesnt completely turn black, you can tell its on. For example, if im watching a video and the screen blanks, the video keeps playing. Also, i noticed that If i adjust the screen position, it also blanks out, even if it is the slightest movement(it just blanked when i was typing this).

is this a battery problem?

Asus Laptop: Why does my login keep saying incorrect password

Hi All

I have recently had a problem logging into my laptop at startup and when I close the lid. When it says enter password, I put it in and then it says "Incorrect Password". I try again and again and again and it keeps saying incorrect. I restart my computer, shut it down etc and try again and it still says incorrect password (even though I am typing it correctly). Restart, Shut Down, Try again and it just keeps saying incorrect. Then all of a sudden when I type it in it works.

So frustrating but wondering if someone could help explain why this is happening. Note that this is at the login screen when the computer is first powered up, and I am typing the correct password everytime I try. I am using Windows 10 Pro

Thanks

Asus Laptop F553M: battery not charging (green and orange led light flashing)

My Asus F551m has a battery problem, can't recharge anymore, flashes green and orange led when on charger at off state. when on, it shows battery charging but symbol but always at 0% charge, so I concluded that the battery is dead and I decided to buy a compatible battery for replacement. the closer I could get in term of voltage rating is 14.4 v/ 2200mAh/32Wh but the battery to be replaced is rated 11.25v/2850mAh/33Wh.

can I use the 14.4v battery to replace the 11.25v? or is there a way apart of solving this problem of battery not charging (green and orange led light flashing) from replacing the battery?

Asus X555LA-SI305041: Audio cutting out when applying pressure onto keyboard surface.

I am having this issue to which, whenever I slightly bend or tap the left and right surfaces by the mouse pad, the audio makes a pop noise and stops working. I then would have to turn off or put my laptop to sleep and the audio would return. However, any considerable pressure on the surfaces on the side of the mouse pad always causes this with always a pop noise. Something must be loose inside, but I don't exactly know how to identify what part is the audio hardware.

Asus Laptop: Asus Laptop Model U56E shutting off at random and during boot up?

I have a Asus Notebook PC Laptop, Model: U56E I bought it in 2011

My question is:

Recently it has been shutting off on it’s own, sometimes while playing a movie which does get irritating.

After getting nowhere with antivirus software I tried reformatted the hard drive several times, also tried using it with the battery removed and reformatting with the battery removed, at first it seems to be happening after a few hours of use it will shut off on its own again, to say the least annoying.

For a laptop it doesn’t seem to be getting overly hot, stays cool to the touch, after it shuts off it will come up with the error message about being improperly shutdown and restart on its own, after a few times it want to do a DSKCHK, which eats up about twenty minutes.

I’m figuring that it is probably an equipment problem, is there a module or something I can replace to fix this problem?

Some more info:

When it shuts down randomly, it shuts off like you pulled the cord from the wall outlet without the battery in the unit, shuts down like that even when the battery was in the unit, and it always restarts, at first it had me thinking I had one of those shut off viruses, after the first reformat it got me thinking hardware problem, I am hoping someone out there has a fix it answer for me, other than go out and buy a new laptop, I am hoping for an inexpensive way to fix this Laptop computer, I would appreciate any answer that gets me closer to having this problem fixed.
