It’s an 18 volt hand held. Shark, model SV780_N. I thought it might be a bad switch. When I took it apart, I found the switch has a circuit board attached to it. Is this some kind of overload cutout? When I jumper across the switch(bypassing the circuit board) it will keep running, meaning the battery is good.

Samsung Refrigerator - RF26J7500: Water dispenses but the ice maker does not make ice.

My Samsung side by side dispenses water but it will not make ice. The ice maker functions when you press the reset button but still will not make ice. I figured it just wasn’t getting water so I replaced the solenoid and still nothing. I see alot of replacing the filter but if the filter was clogged wouldn’t I not be getting water dispensed? Water line is not frozen because we had to shut it down to have the thermistor replaced at which the repair guy also said the ice maker was working. I’ll replace the ice maker before I call him back again. Any one have this same issue and know the solution?

Thank you so much in advance!

McCulloch MC-1275 Heavy Duty Steam Cleaner: What is the purpose of this wiring connector?

This is a more general wiring question, as I've seen these kinds of connectors in other devices as well:

Three questions:

1. What is its purpose? On one side it's connected to the AC-in power cord, while the other side goes to the rest of the machine.

2. This connector seems to have had too much juice running through it -- one side burned and melted the plastic for some reason. Does it pose a fire hazard in its current state?

3. Would it be a bad idea if I just bypassed the burnt side entirely, and connected the wires together?

Ninja Coffee Bar CF086: Drip stop light prevents brewing

I have a ninja coffee bar, had it for 2 years. The drip stop light lit while brewing, and wouldn't brew at all. I replaced the drip tray, and went away with one brew. Light returns. Seems to occur with unbalanced surfaces too, and whenever we slightly move it or shake it, the light MAY go off and brew for a bit.
LG Refrigerator LFX28978: LG in-door icemaker won't dump ice into the bin

The tray fills up with water and freezes but won’t dump ice into the bin. Model LFX28978ST/02. The unit adds more and more water to the tray that is already filled with ice, so water runs out the door, down the side, and puddles on the floor. When I push the reset button the tray does INDEED turn, so the motor works. If I melt the ice block with a hair dryer and remove it from the tray, the icemaker seems to work in that it fills the tray with the right amount of water, it freezes, and then I can dump the normal cubes into the bin manually, using the reset button. If I don’t dump the ice manually, though, it never gets dumped, more water keeps getting added to the tray, the tray fills up to overflowing with ice, and I get water on the floor again.

Whirlpool Quiet Partner I Dishwasher: Flashing Lights on Control Panel

Last night, I went to start my dishwasher. I pressed the Start button before noticing that I was on "Pots and Pans" instead of "Normal". I immediately pressed the "Cancel" button in order to change the cycle. I heard the drain cycle start and finish, then I saw the "Normal" button flashing. I could not select any other cycle, and got no reaction when pressing "Start". I pressed the "Cancel" button again, but it just started flashing as well as the "Normal" button. At this point, I flipped the circuit breaker off, counted to 10, and flipped it back on. This made the "Cancel" button stop flashing, but the "Normal" button kept flashing. I then checked the interior to make sure that the overfill cover moved freely, that the sprayers could all turn freely, and that the filters were clear. No change. I tried the reset procedures found elsewhere in this forum (alternately pressing "Heated Dry" and "Normal"; pressing any three buttons in sequence three times; and pressing and holding various buttons for three seconds each) with no success. The trouble shooting guide from Whirlpool does not address anything associated with flashing lights. I've left the door open and unlatched for 12 hours now with no change. Any suggestions that don't involve calling a repairman?

Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine: Why does my washing machine pour water during the spin cycle?

Overview

My washing machine has an issue where it pours water during the spin cycle, while it is draining. Basically, it pours water from the top while draining it out from the bottom. It drains the water faster than it can pour it, so it does not actually fill with water, but it does re-wet the clothes, so the clothes are dripping wet when the cycle is complete.

It also agitates while filling with water. This is not much of a problem, but it started happening the same time that the other issue above started happening.

Specs

Model: Kenmore Elite 26964503

Desired Outcome

This is what the washing machine is supposed to do:

Wash Cycle

Fill with water.

When full, begin agitating.

After a while, drain water.

Rinse Cycle

Fill with water.

When full, begin agitating.

After a while, drain water.

Spin Cycle

Spin while draining water.

When empty, continue spinning and draining.

After a while, stop.

Actual Outcome

This is what the washing machine actually does (the bold text marks the differences):

Wash Cycle

Fill with water while agitating.

When full, continue agitating.

After a while, drain water.

Rinse Cycle

Fill with water while agitating.

When full, continue agitating.

After a while, drain water.

Spin Cycle

Spin while draining water.

When empty, continue spinning and draining but also begin pouring water from top.

After a while, stop.

Summary

The main problem is 3-2: in the spin cycle, the machine begins to pour water after it has drained all of the water. It is not supposed to be pouring water at this point; it defeats the purpose of the spin cycle.

What could this be? What would cause it to pour water during the spin cycle?
