The power button on my Smoke X4 sometimes sticks and is working intermittently. Pretty sure there’s some grease or sauce on the contacts. Trying to access the button, but having trouble accessing the internals.

I’m assuming there are screws under these plastic circles, but I can’t get under them. I’ve tried force and heat so far. Anyone have experience?

Hello,

I'm looking for some advice regarding a Meta Quest 3s repair issue.

My headset was fully functional before the repair. I replaced the left speaker bracket/assembly and also repaired a damaged USB-C port after fall damage. Since completing the repair, the headset will no longer power on or charge.

I have already tried:

Multiple known-good USB-C cables and chargers
Long presses of the power button (30+ seconds)
Various button combinations involving the power button
Testing with another known-good battery
Checking the power button itself and its connection

The headset remains completely unresponsive:

No charging indicator
No LED activity
No display activity
No vibration or signs of life

At this point, the only thing I have left to do is start checking voltages and tracing power rails on the board.

Since the headset was working before the repair, I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions on what could have happened during the USB-C port replacement or speaker bracket replacement.

Are there any common failure points, fuses, protection circuits, damaged traces, disconnected flex cables, or components near the USB-C port that I should check first?

Additionally, I have carefully inspected all internal connections and flex cables multiple times. I found no signs of physical damage, torn cables, bent pins, improperly seated connectors, burn marks, corrosion, or damaged components. All connectors appear to be fully inserted and locked in place.

Visually, the motherboard and surrounding components look completely normal, with no obvious signs of shorts, overheating, or accidental damage during the repair process.

Any additional troubleshooting suggestions would be greatly appreciated before I start probing power rails.

Hi, everyone I have a headless MacBook it's working great except the display. I want to install windows via bootcamp. The setup wouldn't show on display. The windows logo just blinks. Can someone share a link, or help me in FULL disassembly of Acer Predator Helios 16 model (PH16-71)

Unfortunately, there are a lot of variations through different markets of the Helios 16. But, built-wise, they should be very close to each others.

Any tips, advise, or support is highly appreciated!

The thing is, I have some keys are full of dust (Power button is one of them!)

When I left the key cap, I found some gunk and gummy dust and tried to clean it. Some of the gunk just falls behind through the holes of the key (downward between the keyboard and the motherboard).

It is impractical to remove all the keys and try to clean them one by one. Not to mention the possibility of breaking one or a couple of the hinges during the process.

I figured the fastest way, is to reach to the keyboard, disassemble it and deep clean it (OR Even replace it) and put it back, How to do that anyway? theresn't much tutorials for keyboard replacement.

well, few days before it got stuck on red light it was not blinking or not turning off I saw some online videos and resetted(via reset switch) it after then it rarely turns on and doesn't connect with my PlayStation 3 I even use scp toolkits to check whether it connects via usb or not well it didn't connect even i tried new usb cable It didnt work
